Such a treat to visit Cherry Fields Primary School and watch their choir’s wonderful performance of Wizard of Oz. @CherryFieldsSch@GLFSchools must be so proud of them! The school’s commitment to giving children the best possible music and arts opportunities shines through!
@Vicw1@ODSTschools@Julie_Sargent1 What a lovely way to bring persuasive writing to life, I’ll look forward to reading their letters… definitely open to being persuaded, but I’ve got my shovel and cement mixer ready just in case! 😂
@MusicEdu4all@JonFraserTF Jimmy, I believe the source of tension and confusion here is that you should have said thank god she’s quit, not thank god you’ve quit. But considering she quit because she doesn’t want to use pronouns any more, you have to appreciate the irony.
@DrLizStafford Ah ok, maybe I’ll give it a look then!
Disappointing lack of Marple skills though 😢 I wonder what social media platform she would use… Instagran?
I barely look at Twitter these days… but I’m doing it wrong. I’m supposed to tweet 78 grand announcements about my imminent departure from Twitter, aren’t I?
(And no, I’m still not calling it X. Nobody calls it X.)

Doesn’t time fly! It’s exactly two months since I emailed @NEUnion with a complaint. Maybe they’ll even bother to reply one day, who knows, but it’s nice to know it was the right call to move to a different union.

@Pietros1@bphillipsonMP …does it mean that your child doesn’t feel safe to be there? Does it mean they’re not likely to make enough progress? Does it mean there’s a problem with the early years provision but the education is great for older children?
@Pietros1@bphillipsonMP Fine, if the question is as simple as ‘has this car passed a specific list of tests to demonstrate it is safe and legal to drive?’ School judgements need to be complex and nuanced, which is why the word inadequate is useless unless you unpick what that actually means…
@Pietros1@bphillipsonMP It’s nothing to do with accountability… nobody is suggesting schools shouldn’t be inspected. A conclusion to a report is at least a paragraph, not just a word, otherwise it would totally fail to capture the key points, never mind the details.
@Pietros1@bphillipsonMP A word one judgement does nothing to manage a school. Labelling a school as inadequate (or outstanding) tells you nothing about why it has been judged to be so, what specifically needs to improve, and how to go about doing that.

These are the lads from Kingswood Homes and Southport Mosque who’ve spent the afternoon working together to rebuild the wall. An amazing effort! @MENnewsdesk
