Mrs. Ruckert at GTJMS decided to have her 8th grade honors Ss work collaboratively to find and explain the mathematical reasoning behind adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing exponents.
Beautiful day for a visit to Gov. Thomas Johnson Middle School! Loved getting some time to drop in with @MKaehnyFCPS and see her science classes in action! There was electricity in the air with the lively student discussion on natural selection and human-caused extinction.
Had a great morning of visits in the TJ feeder @PatNationPrinc @JWork_FCPS@MOES_Principal!
Beautiful facilities!
Staffing in place!
Kids engaged in learning!
Great things are happening in @FCPSMaryland 💙💛
Today we observed students getting acclimated in classrooms, friendships developing, and rapport building with staff.
We are excited to embark on this journey together and look forward to all the wonderful moments that lie ahead for our GTJMS Patriot
There are so many talented art teachers within @FCPSMaryland. Mrs Galla at #TJMiddle is a perfect example. Creative, inspiring and students love her classes. Check out her latest showcase display to pump students up for an exciting year ahead. @JWork_FCPS#TJMSPride
Amazing Open House tonight at GTJMS. Thank you to GTJMS PTSA, SWAG, Kona Ice, @Fred_MD_Police and @FredCoLibrary for supporting this event. Looking forward to welcoming our families back for the 2023-2024 school year #patriotpride
@DHooverBeetFCPS@FCPSMaryland Keep up the great work at MoMS! Your GTJMS family is proud of everything that you do each day for students, parents, and staff.
The Very Hungry Catipillar, sentence starters, iPad modeling and taste testing makes for an amazing hands on lesson in Ms. Eccard's class!

Here at @FCPSMaryland we are #bettertogether! When Gov. Thomas Johnson Middle School’s orchestra director was unable to make it to adjudications today, Johnathan Kurtz, Coordinator of the Academy of Fine Arts at Gov. Thomas Johnson HS and FCPS’ teacher of the year, stepped up.
Governor Thomas Johnson Middle School’s band has us marching right along through these band adjudications! I’m tapping my toes to the snare drum’s cadence! Congratulations to these students and their band director for a fantastic performance! @JWork_FCPS @FCPS_SVPA @FCPSMaryland
