Is there evidence that creating TSA has made air travel safer over the past 25 years?
If not, then why not let the airlines and airports handle it?
Why give politicians the power to play games with the travel of our people?
TCU lost by 58.
Florida State lost by 39.
Michigan State lost by 38.
Oklahoma lost by 35.
Ohio State lost by 31.
Alabama lost by 28.
SMU lost by 28.
Ohio State lost by 28.
Notre Dame lost by 27.
Tennessee lost by 25.
This is common for the CFP.
Stop complaining about Tulane.
They are competing at the appropriate level.
JMU was competing for FCS national titles and decided to move to FBS and now, in the second year of being bowl eligible, is competing for national titles
This rhetoric is a disservice to the sport of college football. The G5 is part of the FBS.
I remember players were looked down upon for opting out of Bowl Games. Now we have whole teams. (Probably decided by the AD or HC not the players)
I don’t think anyone from @AppState_FB or @GSAthletics_FB is mad about this match up. Who cares what everyone else thinks. 🤷🏽♂️ These young men just want to play the sport they love one more time.
If I'm a Georgia Southern administrator I'm getting armed to the teeth with lawyers and sicking them on the NCAA, the bowl committee, the Duke mayo bowl, whatever the other one that took a 5-7 team
Georgia Southern did what they were supposed to do .... 3-1 November to finish 6-6. How on earth this committee filled 2 spots with 5-7 teams and then realized oh shit we don't have an opponent for 6-6 Georgia Southern is beyond me.
This is depressing. Our players deserve better. College football deserves better. It's just a sad situation that was totally avoidable by prioritizing finding spots for 6-6 teams before placing 5-7 teams (looking at you Rice and Miss State)
We interrupt for a Public Service Announcement: if you're a football team (must have at least 11 players) & would like to play in a really cool bowl game & be on ESPN vs. Georgia Southern, please show up at Birmingham's Protective Stadium by 1 pm Dec. 29th kickoff. Thank you
@GATA_ATL_Hawks There’s no way we don’t make a change at DC at minimum. I don’t believe Helton is going anywhere but there’s no way he thinks keeping the DC is justifiable! I know Helton is very loyal but even Bailey has to expect to be fired at this point! Right?!?!
Troy won the West Division yet again and has won the Sun Belt 8 times…with a smaller budget than Georgia Southern. Don’t let Davis and Marrero tell you that this is just about money.
Making a bowl is the bare minimum expectation here. I'm glad we made it and hopefully we can treat it like a game instead of a field trip and pull out a win.
This doesn't change the fact that we need major overhauls on offense and defense (and HC, but I digress).
You can’t brag about elite roster retention in May and then blame NIL when you get buried the SBC in November.
Chris Davis and Company are preparing to provide Clay cover by focusing on NIL.
@Domin8orX@GsuStudentsec This year reminds me of 2016 with Summers. We had Bredia returning with a good o line w/ Kevin Ellison. Same this year all the talent in the world but can only win 5 games, common denominator bad coaches.
GS Athletic Foundation liquidity sits at $8 mil, up from $3 mil in 2019. That's money we can use for anything we want.
Clay's buyout is paid out monthly over the next 4 years (growing from 712k in 2026 to 825k in 2029).
We can 100% afford this. Don't let them say we can't.
(Part 2) When this is the real truth
Results. 3 consecutive losses in a row. Are we really celebrating being losers? This can't be what our program is selling us. This is not the standard of Georgia Southern football. Changes must be made!
The worst home game and without a doubt one of the most, if not the most, embarrassing loss in the history of the program.
@chrisdavis_CD do what must be done or support next year will be worse than today. Fire Helton.
