If I had a 9–5 and wanted to eventually replace my paycheck with an online business, I wouldn’t quit my job, chase 10 different side hustles, or look for a “get rich quick” shortcut.

I’d do these 5 things instead—and I wish I understood them when I started:

1. Keep the 9–5 (for now).

I know that sounds weird coming from someone talking about making money online 😂

But your paycheck gives you stability.

Let your job pay the bills while you build something on the side. If your online income eventually becomes consistent enough to rely on, THEN you can decide whether leaving makes sense.

2. Pick ONE business model.

Affiliate marketing. Freelancing. Digital products. Lead generation. Content.

There are plenty of legitimate ways to build an online income.

The problem is jumping to a new opportunity every few weeks because it looks easier than what you’re currently doing.

Pick one. Learn it. Give yourself enough time to actually get good at it.

3. Learn how to get traffic.

This was a huge realization for me.

You can have an amazing website, product or offer…

But if nobody sees it, none of that matters.

Organic content, SEO, email, paid traffic—there are plenty of ways to get eyeballs.

You don’t need to master everything. Start with one traffic source and learn it.

4. Build an email list.

Social media is great, but you’re building on someone else’s platform.

An email list gives you a direct way to stay in touch with people who actually WANT to hear from you.

Start building it earlier than you think you need to.

5. Get comfortable with things not working.

Some posts will flop.

Some emails won’t get clicks.

Some offers won’t convert.

Some ideas you’re convinced are brilliant will turn out to be terrible 😂

That doesn’t necessarily mean you failed.

Look at what happened. Learn something. Adjust. Try again.

That’s basically the boring reality of building an online business:

Learn → take action → get feedback → improve → repeat.

Not nearly as exciting as “make $10K by next Tuesday.”

But a lot more realistic.

That’s the approach I’m taking with my own online business. I test different strategies, document my progress, and share what I learn—the good AND the bad.

It’s pretty good but definitely not a masterpiece.

The combat and boss fights are engaging but some of the platforming can feel wonky.

The story also doesn’t hit as hard as I feel it could have. Things just kind of happen and they set up a sequel but nothing really leaves much of an impact on you.

I’m not opposed to traditional chivalry but modern day feminism has basically taught women that men are disposable creatures whose only purpose in life is to serve women.

Can I suggest an improvement? When I played Wolverine I turned off the subtitles so I could get a more immersive experience but I noticed there were some parts of the game that were in non-English languages that were important to the plot. Is there an option to turn on subtitles but only for non-English parts of the game?
