On the tram rolling through Deansgate admiring the old and new, the history and modernity. Manchester is definitely the best city in England outside London. I don’t think anywhere comes close.
@EngFocus Manchester-Sheffield is also shown on the press release (but I can’t find any information on what is proposed for the line). Maybe electrification and line speed improvements?
Hi @AvantiWestCoast my train this evening has been cancelled and I’m travelling on an advance ticket. What trains am I allowed to catch instead? Thank you
🚶 It’s time to make Tib Street safer, greener & better for everyone.
Pedestrianisation has transformed Stevenson Square, Thomas St. & Edge St. now let’s do the same for Tib Street.

@DuncanStott I think the problem though is before the ticket trial return tickets could be purchased that were much more flexible (on the return leg) and were comparable in price to the new system of single leg pricing. So customers now have less flexibility but without the cheaper fare.
@jasperlewis_ I don’t think dealing with the issues with asylum require leaving the ECHR tbh. A lot of the issue is post Brexit it’s much harder to negotiate a fair refugee sharing system with the EU than before, which is reflected in the number of crossings
@EngFocus I’d completely forgotten about Glasgow services tbf, although I thought the original plan was to use 400m sets that split for Glasgow and Edinburgh somewhere (I can’t remember where) along the route, I’m guessing this has also been cancelled as it depended on Phase 2
Hi @SW_Help I’ve left my wallet on the 2309 train from Reading to Waterloo, who should I contact about this? Also @TfL my Oyster card was in my wallet, is there a way to freeze my card, it’s been registered online. Thank you ☺️
Countless Labour voters have told us they are disheartened by the amendments to the Planning and Infrastructure Bill.
Here’s a selection of these voters calling on the Government to not abandon the reforms we so desperately need.
Only Richard Tice could think writing to investors to say “don’t bother investing in Britain, Reform will do everything we can to sabotage it” is good for Britain.
Reform: destroying jobs, investment, and common sense since… forever. 🙈
