Found that my engagement on here had dropped to nearly nothing recently so decided to bin off the app for a couple of months…. But I’m back, but this time living in Western Australia!
Close encounter of the Emu kind! Awesome views of this wild Emu that took an interest in the car, or what was in it?! Luckily no sign of Rod Hull, for older readers. Have a wonderful Easter Monday! Watch birds - I mean, how good?!
Excited to be officially starting my new role as Senior Conservation Scientist with @RSPBScience this week! 🥳
I'm looking forward to spending more time working on storm petrels - the species that got me into #seabirds in the first place 🥰

Can anyone recommend a very good birdwatching tour guide for a day tour of Cuc Phuong National park in Northern Vietnam. I have been burnt by bad guides on this trip so feel like I have to be extra cautious.
Now here’s a brain scratcher, apparently 3 species of Pond heron co-occur in the Bangkok, any guesses on what this one is in Lumphini Park, anyone familiar?
Alright alright! Got another BOP for you Asia buffs. Struggling to separate this from changeable hawk eagle and oriental honey buzzard, am I being a complete beginner?
SEWBReC #RecordOfTheWeek today is a very urban Otter, spotted in the newly reopened Churchill Way canal in Cardiff city centre! Many thanks to Jessica Sweeney for the record & photos, submitted via https://t.co/TH71EV5KfR
We are travelling to south east Asia (TH, KH, VN,MY, SG and ID) in January, does anyone have any advice for bird books (illustrated field guides), is Robson still the go to for SEA birds? What about Borneo and Indo? 1/1
