@KristinAquilino Your right that was terrible. I had just talked about the two paddlefish species on Friday. Little did I know the Chinese paddlefish was recently declared extinct. Sad.
@phylogenomics@ucdavis I’ve been teaching a precollege course 4wks, 5d, 9-5 this month and Covid hit us. I’ve pushed hard to keep everyone masked. One TAs came down with Covid on the 2nd day and luckily didn’t give it to the rest of TAs and myself. I’ve just said only way to make this work is mask.

@Revolupine@MoveTheWorldUS Captive birds? Do you mean chickens? Because I’d be willing to hamper that the majority of the pet birds are poultry for egg production at domestic or farm scale. I would not consider this the pet trade.
