They come out that White House meeting and the biggest talking point is they don't like how much money players are getting paid. Nothing about coaches being paid boatload of money not to coach or can just leave whenever.
Trigger Warning: This post references a 400 year racial slur that has been used to dehumanize Black people. It also discusses Tourette syndrome and Coprolalia. If a social media post can provide this clarity, a global broadcaster on a 2 hour programming delay certainly could have. CC:BAFTA and BBC.
To be Black is to know that Grace will be demanded of you before accountability ever is.
And that’s exactly what played out on the BAFTA stage.
Yesterday was heavy. The world is heavy. I felt the heartbreak of it all and the obligation to stand in that moment as a vessel of hope. The only thing more powerful than hate is love 💕
Civil rights activist Medgar Evers was shot in the back by a Klansman in 1963.
The National Park Service has removed visitor brochures from Evers' museum and reportedly plans to remove references that call his murderer a “racist" https://t.co/r6wKjmvmno
“Hey you wanna go out to a bar and pay $80 to drink shit that makes you feel good for maybe like two hours, ruins your sleep, spikes your anxiety, bloats you, adds 800 empty calories, and makes tomorrow completely useless?”
No.
Tommy Lee Walker was declared "innocent" by a Dallas court this week, 70 years after he was executed for the rape and murder of Venice Parker. The court said his 1954 conviction and 1956 execution were "profound miscarriage[s] of justice." https://t.co/QSfFdJNkN6
Scripture is very clear. God never commands giving what you do not have. “If the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have” (2 Corinthians 8:12). God is not honored by guilt or pressure. He is honored by truth.
Giving in the New Testament is not limited to money. Time, prayer, service, encouragement, hospitality, and love are all real sacrifices. “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice” (Romans 12:1). The widow Jesus commended did not give because she was wealthy, but because she trusted God with what little she had (Mark 12:41–44). The issue was the heart, not the amount.
If you truly have nothing, then give thanks, give prayer, give obedience, and give yourself. God knows your situation. “Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him” (Matthew 6:8). He is not a creditor. He is a Father.
When God provides, generosity can follow. Until then, walk in faith, not fear.
No other coach is taking a 3-9 team with the most losses in CFB history to the College Football Playoffs in year 1 and then Undefeated in year 2, while building a strong enough culture to lose 0 starters to the transfer portal between those years. This the most impressive coaching feat I’ve ever seen. Cignetti is HOOPING
