@Logan14997754@Digiday Misinformation in today’s society can really be harmful and lead to division in our country. This should have been recognized a long time ago but apps still have the chance to prevent many social disasters in the future with these new features.
@amyjour104 People who struggle with mental health often notice that they spend a lot of time on their phones. It’s a new real world problems that many kids our age are facing. We need to support people going outside and taking a break from the internet.
@cmlleannee Not many people give credit to Pinterest but personally I love it. Users on Pinterest have help me with so many different arts and crafts projects that I could not to just by myself.
@lynettehaggins There’s always that one tweet that you want to find weather it was yesterday or a year ago. I love that twitter is helping there users find the content they want to see!
Tiktok uses algorithms that drives young kids to being on their phones for multiple hours each day. Personally I love that tiktok shows what I want to see but at the same time it is very addicting and can potentially be unhealthy. #csulbsmc https://t.co/x9Z0cJrsMV
@lynettehaggins Not paying there creators that generate so much revenue for them sounds sort of weird. Many people don’t think social media is all that “hard working” but if there’s millions generated, you can’t deny these people of their fair share upon their efforts.
@JOUR140sophia Tiktok shouldn’t be able to tell people what they should and should not wear. Many times there are trying to do what’s for them rather than letting their creators express themselves.
@AshleyJOUR I’m all for starting conversation such as personal podcast and such. However when the topics cause more divide than unity, we’ll have issues. Apps need to make the topics discussed appropriate and fair.
@yen010123 Many of these updates and algorithms are meant for people who already spend their whole day on social media. People need to be aware of what kind of affect this can have on their mental health.
How much does social media affect your mental health negatively. I know for myself, many times I try to be perfect due to expections portrayed on social media. Should we reduce our time spent on social media. #csulbsmc https://t.co/X9CYWKIpMF
@yen010123@verge Facebook definitely doesn’t attract young people as much as it did 10 years ago. However the Facebook owned app Instagram is really what most of these young people are using. I don’t see an attempt from facebook to regain its popularity.
@amyjour104 People who run social media can create these algorithms that make people’s anxiety go nuts. I know for myself I try to limit my time on things such as tik tok because it makes life almost seem unattainable.
@cmlleannee People need to realize how much fake news is out there especially when it comes to stuff like politics. Reading and fact checking before you become a super spreader is necessary for social media credibility.
@AshleyJOUR Filter definitely make the experience of FaceTiming your friends a lot more fun. It’s almost like you’re actually with them because it adds to the emotion of the conversation.
@lynettehaggins False information is so easily spread on apps like Instagram. Some people can sell others on their front that they put up on social media. Many of these activists have an agenda that’s more than just spreading a message.
Many apps such as Instagram and Twitter are looking into banning controversial comments that spread false messages. The false messages have been proven to cause divide and toxicity within the social media community. #csulbsmc https://t.co/kQX2tvyYxd
@cmlleannee I love this feature on Twitter as it allows us to prevent the act of spreading fake news. People are many times easily persuaded on why they de rob line and forget to think about the ethics of the source.
@AshleyJOUR I believe that people should be able to express there emotions on social media freely. However emporiums can sometimes get the best of us, so by adding a feature like this, we push to advocate second thoughts.
