@valuations_ I think people underestimate the cooling effect that student loans are going to have on consumption. That and the perceived need to tighten the belt due to the next gov shutdown fight. Not the sort of consumer animal spirits you want in Q4 but it seem like it should help the fed

@alexisohanian Regarding inflight experience, you can currently do this with a Quest, but we'll see if Apple can make it cool enough to normalize wearing an HMD on a flight.

As for the killer multiplayer app, I agree, as long as you have $7k lying around for 2 headsets :)

Not sure how I missed the fact that $AAPL would name drop $U b/c they sure weren't going to name drop @UnrealEngine or @TimSweeneyEpic. If they're closing the garden to dev tools, they've lost before they've begun. Trying to make enough $ off the $U cool down to buy a VisionPro

@scottjohnson There are a lot of amazing productivity tools and augmentations to how we consume traditional media that already exist in VR. This is classic Apple, taking foundational tech + simple design and calling it revolutionary. I'd love a head to head with a Quest trying to clone this

I always resist the hype (Web3, Metaverse, etc)... However I think the "Killer App" for AR is AI. Meaningfully useful augmentation makes all concerns for resolution and form factor go away. I would take impactful augmentation on '13 Googleglass over PokemonGo on a 2055 HMD.
