The demand for a 5 Day Work Week in banks is not new. It already stands agreed upon in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. What remains is its long-pending implementation.

At the same time, the unilateral and discriminatory PLI system must be abolished and replaced with a fair, transparent and inclusive framework for all employees, recognising the collective effort behind every institution’s performance.

Hardworking bank employees are not asking for privilege. They are asking for implementation of an agreement and equality in reward.

A motivated banking workforce strengthens Indian banking and the nation.

At the same time, a unilateral and discriminatory PLI framework that divides the workforce must give way to a fair, transparent and inclusive system for all employees.

Many people are criticising this move of @TheOfficialSBI saying that many middle class and poor have accounts and they will be affected by this
But this is only for BSBDA accounts which mean in these accounts already restrictions of 10k per month withdrawal and maximum 1 lakh deposit in a FY
So why they need more than 4 txn in a month while monthly cap is 10k
So before posting anything kindly check facts regarding this
