@Brevitous@hexprax I'm against it because juries are flawed and it can and has been used to kill innocent people which is enough to change the arithmetic for me
@hexprax@LonesomeWest I think it's less virtue signalling that he's bad and moreso how you're consciously framing this case as the instrument of the state being evil and the client being a neutral character at worst. In fact I'd say calling him a "guy" virtue signals in another direction.
@hexprax@LonesomeWest Do people stop their sociopathic tendencies when they're imprisoned? I think describing him as a "guy" makes you seem callous to his victims rather than a principled stand. There's gravity to these cases that should be understood regardless of your opinion on capital punishment.
