❤️ This ref is called Harry. He was reffing this game when the U7 keeper lost a bit of confidence after conceding and didn't want to carry on playing. Harry went and spoke to the keeper not once, but twice, sat down talked with him and gave him the encouragement needed to get back up and enjoy his football again.
Moments like this, whenever they happen, just remind you you’re doing something right as a parent.
That’s what grassroots is all about. Proper class, son

Farcical to be so long after, but I don't have an issue with the actual AFCON decision.
Leaving the pitch for a quarter of an hour wasn't a footballing action, but very likely altered the final result. That's not something that should be allowed to pass with no consequences.
Of course, ad targeting is nothing new. But nobody was ever treating Google as a kind of personal confidante.
And especially given how vocal Sam Altman has been, you'd expect the first ads to be as light-touch as possible. It's eye-opening that this is the starting point.
On ChatGPT ads, one thing I've noticed:
If I were making a mock-up designed to reassure people about privacy and clear separation from AI answers, it would be more clear-cut than this.
Ad prose picks up straight from AI response. And it's disconcertingly query-relevant.
Didn't realise this was the rule.
In that case, it's a real howler - referees are often wrong in fact, but they really shouldn't be wrong in law. He literally announced the decision as an accidental handball.
Definitely should not have been a VAR penalty to Chelsea at Crystal Palace today for me.
Jaydee Canvot did not commit a handball offence as laid out by the Ifab.
That the ball was going into the goal is irrelevant.
Robertson has been great.
I get that we've invested in Kerkez being the future, but really hard to see why they've not shared minutes a bit more evenly this season. And letting him go now would just seem like self-sabotage
10 clean sheets now this season for Loris Karius at Schalke. Only 10 goals conceded all season!
Seven saves against Hertha in the latest game. Nice to see him doing well for himself.
Eberechi Eze is the first player with a palindromic surname to score a top-flight hat-trick since Albert Malam for Huddersfield against Liverpool in November 1934
In this edition of "who is the first player you think of when you see this kit?" it's Liverpool's yellow Warrior kit from 14/15.
Who do you see wearing this kit?
For what it's worth, thought Joe Gomez was superb against Arsenal when he came on. It's only ever been a fitness worry with him really.
And pressure on his injury record has been eased by Leoni coming in. Not ideal, but not a disaster
Newcastle probably won't even lose much money by pulling rank now, it has all the cards with three years left on Isak's contract.
But particularly with the Saudi owners, it's hardly even about the money. It's a matter of pride and prestige, especially after a humbling summer.
Obviously Luke hasn't exactly been bang on the money all summer, but I've always had the nagging thought that Newcastle has no real reason to sell.
Isak won't sulk for a whole year. Once the window shuts, he'll knuckle down, and suitors will still be there in future windows.
