Shifty Sunak says he believes in net zero but doesn’t want to load costs onto ordinary people, it’s the new Tory mantra. Ironic, given huge the rises in energy, food and mortgage costs they’ve already imposed on the nation. And deceitful because ordinary people are being loaded with this cost. The savings gifted to house-builders will be paid by us all. He’s doing precisely what he said he isn’t. And it’s not a net zero issue btw - that’s misdirection. This is about water pollution. Sunak talks shite while allowing more shite to be pumped into our rivers and seas. That’s the news.
