God didn’t become a man.
He became a baby.
Completely helpless in his physicality; dependent on a teenage woman for his hygiene, his food, even to support his head.
God’s beauty is not just in His majesty, it’s also in His lowliness.
It’s in lowliness we connect with Him.
@aigkenham “For In six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested on the seventh day.” Exodus 20:11.
Our real-life weekly pattern is based on God’s real life weekly pattern in creation. Not complicated, but it does make you choose a side.
If you have a problem with someone, talk to that person directly. If they don’t listen, bring a few more with you to get the facts straight. If they don’t listen to them bring it to the church. If that doesn’t work they need to be introduced to Christ.
@JoshuaBarzon KJV preacher here… God never promised translational preservation. He gave it in the Hebrew and Greek, and allows us to translate. But God never once said “while thou art translating, I will be with thee.”
@DeanMiller_frbc Spurgeon wrote something like
“it’s not our purpose to dress up a corpse, and sit it up in a pew as if it were alive. No, our goal is nothing less than the resurrection of the dead!”
@SmokyBlueJ @erichoke I grew up: saved, but passive
I now worship: Christ, and preach His Gospel.
I could see myself becoming: more focused, more passionate, more effective at making Him known.
Every group is messed up, that’s why I just seek Christ and minister to those who seek Him.
@bluefrog951 @cassada_joe @BroSpencer Crazy thing is, the Adamic nature (we all have it) ALWAYS chooses to betray God. We have to be born again according to the Spirit, and then we become a new creature by being partakers of the divine nature, body has residual “old man” nature.
@bluefrog951 @cassada_joe @BroSpencer The issue was the same as Satan’s issue. Pride. God told him to exercise dominion over nature, but he began to apply that towards things outside his realm of influence. He misapplied a good thing, and stepped over a clear boundary; placing himself on equal plane with God.
@bluefrog951 @cassada_joe @BroSpencer The Bible says Eve gave the fruit to Adam who was “with her.” He was passively allowing her to take the fruit, even tho he got it directly from God that they shouldnt. When he took it, it was an act of direct disobedience, and a choice was made.
