Start letting police officers teach firearm safety in the first grade again. Hand every child a small 22 by the third grade, and let them practice on the field at school. Bring back Boy Scouts, teach them how to whittle, start a fire and clean a squirrel. Then kids won't be running around stabbing each other over a seat at a track meat.
