Southwest Oklahoma, the last three years have been a blessing and a dream come true, but it's time to say goodbye.

My final newscast will be this evening on 7News at 10.

As somebody who grew up just north of Lawton in Chickasha, it was a blessing to stay near home for my first job in television, keeping me close to my family and friends.

First off, I want to thank the viewers for allowing me into their homes and trust me with covering your favorite teams.

I would also like to thank all of the coaches, administration and student-athletes for letting me tell your stories.

From covering the Oklahoma City Thunder's first NBA championship to countless OU, OSU and Cameron games, it was the honor of a lifetime to serve as sports director here at KSWO7News.

Most importantly, I'd like to thank my family for their support and my co-workers and friends who have made this job so fun.
