Money, spent wisely, buys back your hours.

That washing machine gives you back a Saturday morning.

The dishwasher hands you an extra hour with your kids.

A good fridge lets you cook once on Saturday and eat well all week, instead of standing over a pot every single night.

Hiring help for the tasks that drain you is not laziness. It is buying back your one life, piece by piece.

So do not just work to afford things.

Work to afford time.

Time to sleep. Time to rest. Time to be happy. That was always the point.

One day, I blocked a woman's shop with my car because I wanted to greet a family member.

And because the woman was patient, I decided to patronize her when I was leaving.

But unfortunately, I couldn't get anything because they were of really poor quality.

Dashed her 5k, and left.

Then yesterday...

I got over 200 followers.

And when I decided to check where they came from...

I noticed almost all my posts gave me followers.

I know you want to ask:

"What's the correlation between these two stories?"

And where exactly I am driving at.

I wanted to say...

The more the product or services you have to offer to people, the higher your chances of making more money/sale.

But then I remembered that woman who packed a lot of fake things in her shop, and I couldn't get one.

Then I thought about the quality of my posts.

That same yesterday...

It's possible I make 2,000 posts without earning 10 followers if they were not of great quality.

So, I want to tell you:

Doing a good business is more about quality.

And less about quantity.

Privilege is such an interesting thing I often find myself thinking about. We do not ask for the life we have, and that is why I'm very mindful of it. You often find it a lot in my writing.

Last week, my cleaner told me on Monday(2 days ago) was her birthday. I asked her what age we are celebrating and she said 33. Epiphany hit me that my agemate is my cleaner. I wore a wry smile as I nodded my head and told her to remind me on Monday so she could get her gift.

I then went to my room to deal with the epiphany of privilege. In another universe, that could easily have been me.

If you’re young and you have some time on your hands. Pls sit on the internet and start obsessing about US stocks. Then get a side hustle or main job you use to fund it. Treat it like an obsession and wait for 5-10 years. Trust me your chances of financial independence is really high.
