@BillSpaulding I just believe many players (especially without championships) don’t want to commit to a team they feel is not 1 or 2 pieces away. Seattle will get there. I think they’re doing the right things. They just have not gotten there yet. 2/2
@BillSpaulding I believe it’s an identity issue. It’s not enough to have the right off ice environment. If a team hasn’t displayed the right system, roster, or results it makes attracting players more difficult. The GM and Coach have both changed and I think Seattle is being proactive. 1/2
@thatkidkali89@CaptSnipegoon@SportsSturm Seguin’s 9.85 is off the books after 26-27, same with Steel’s 2.1, Meyers 1.5, DeSmith’s 1.1, and Lybushkin’s 3.25. The cap is also going up. 26-27 is the only season of potential cap hell. They’ll have to reup 1 or 2 and bring in some others but the issue is 1 season.
@taylordbaird It’s also possible he’s refusing to sign anywhere they work something because he actually wants to stay but ALSO wants his pay day how he wants it.
@Lassimak@FriedgeHNIC It’s very possible no team that has assets Dallas wants, cap space and money Jason and his agent want, and the city/culture/team Jason wants to play for does not exist. I understand trying to hold out for a unicorn scenario. But there’s a lot of things that need to line up.
@JuroKral@DallasStars Conspiracy theory. The away one will be the outdoor jersey next season and in 27-28 they will become the new set possibly moving the green home to become the 3rd. Or they use the Mooterus logo in the outdoor game, and switch to the old stars logo when it becomes the new set.
@JuroKral They have excellent top end talent but lack the depth to deal with the volume of man games missed so far. They’ve had the talent will some victories that shouldn’t have happened and some victories that should have been easy were difficult due to a lack of depth.
@ThunderbirdRay@samnestler It rarely has the other team announced if it’s a long way out. Usually the other team is announced at the same time if its the offseason of.
@SportsSturm I’d love if they did the inverse for the second outdoor game and had them as a jersey set or be like the ducks in the 90’s where they had 4 jerseys, 2 home and 2 away.
