Speaking on behalf of @PAU_Uganda, James Musherure Rujoki, Senior National Content Officer – Contracts, highlighted the priority opportunity areas emerging in the production phase of the #TilengaProject and encouraged Ugandan enterprises to position themselves for competitive participation.
“There are several contracts that are going to come under mechanical, electrical, maintenance and support, inspection, production, and site logistic support. It is key for you as a supplier to be ready by strengthening technical capability through international certification, compliant registrations, and strategic partnerships, including joint ventures and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) representation,” Musherure noted.

Let All Hail Oil and Gas for Transforming Hoima City
The story of Hoima City is inseparable from oil and gas. In just a few years, the city has witnessed a remarkable transformation. A modern international airport rising in Kabale, a brand new stadium underway, hotels and hospitality businesses multiplying, new schools and health facilities expanding, and banks opening doors to serve a growing economy.
What was once a quiet town has become a regional hub, attracting investment, talent, and opportunities due to the oil and gas sector. This momentum shows that the sector is not only about resource extraction but about infrastructure, enterprise, and positioning Hoima as a city of the future.
Oil and gas has already proven its catalytic power. The task ahead is to ensure that this transformation uplifts communities, strengthens local businesses, and creates sustainable opportunities for generations.
Hoima City is a living testament to the transformative power of oil and gas on a region.

Until his installation, Justice Kihika served on the Institute’s Governing Board.
In his inaugural remarks, he pledged to champion accessible and equitable education, emphasizing that education should be a right, not a privilege.
He also vowed to position the Institute as a catalyst for national transformation as Uganda prepares to enter the oil production era. #MonitorUpdates

We have passed out 30 trainees from our Heavy Equipment Training Program, held in partnership with Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom. Participants from 8 Albertine districts were trained and certified to operate excavators and wheel loaders—upgrading their driving licenses from Class B to Class G.
This initiative enhances employability not just in oil & gas, but in any sector where heavy machinery is used. It’s part of our commitment to equipping Ugandans with practical, income-generating skills to improve livelihoods and build sustainable futures.
