The number of followers and a profile picture is not a mark of intelligence. Some of the smartest people in the world did not have many friends or followers.
@kim_gaetz@Edmontonsun Maybe Carney should lead by example and set a $61.70 meal allowance for all MPs, senators, PM, and GG. That's what public servants get when they are on business travel.
@slowmanluis@malta75616353@Edmontonsun Well I doubt it was 1,950 people. And it was 3 trips. There's no good way to spin this. This is way worse than $16 orange juice. And she resigned over that. Won't see Carney resigning. He'll say, "Who cares."
@Lifexp_sm@Edmontonsun@ABDanielleSmith@PierrePoilievre But no comment about the actual theme of this thread: that Mark Carney is enjoying champagne and caviar paid for by every day Canadians who can't afford to feed their families.
@gator_gum I don't recall the Conservatives being afraid to call the recession what it was. I remember them acknowledging the problem caused by the US housing bubble and coming up with an action plan.
@serenityonline1@DanMazierMP I would actually ask her to name the province that provides physio, counselling, and home care. I think I'd like to move to that province.
@rosie744@anyasaiditfirst@DanMazierMP Working full time, 60 hours a week? Nope. She makes too much money to get all the freebies that the government hands out in our new two-tier Canadian healthcare.
@alanfryermedia Can she tell me which province's health insurance pays for physio, counselling, and home care? I think I'd like to move to that province.
@KirkLubimov If it is, why did it take a recession for him to try to fix something that he promised he would fix in the last election.
What concerns me more is that he chants Trump's mantra. Is this really a sign that he admires Trump and that's why he's done nothing? Doesn't want to ruffle?
@jkenney Canada can't withdraw citizenship for people who were born in Canada. Look at all these Americans with less right to be citizens now claiming citizenship. Even new born Albertans could claim it because their parents lived in Canada. We've got some pretty loose citizenship laws.
@FoodProfessor I'll take B. They are more obsessed with Poilievre asking a reporter to introduce themselves, which is standard operating procedure, than actually discussing the recession. Then they down play it because it's statistics and the margin of error means it's not really a recession.
@mileslunn Ontario usually votes opposite the federal government. So if you want a Liberal government in Ontario, get Mark Carney to call an election and let the Conservatives win.
@paulvieira Two-quarter GDP contraction has been the standard definition for recession for years, unless you're a Liberal who doesn't your leader identified with failing to stave off a recession.
