That’s not the ocean - it’s Lake Michigan! 👀
Our Head of Partnerships @saltwatersteve is attending the #Lakebed2030 Conference - a place where scientists, researchers, governments, and industry professionals tackle the crucial task of #mapping the global lakefloor.
💬 Spot on words by David Millar, @fugro’s Government Accounts Director, from his conversation with our Head of Partnerships @saltwatersteve for the first ever episode of #Seabed2030’s podcast.

End of a great month on RV Dagon mapping the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and Mexico. On leg 4, we mapped just over 60,000 https://t.co/XTop1psher (85% of which was new coverage based on the GEBCO23 grid) and completed 7 lander deployments.

We’re proud to have #hydrographic surveyor and spatial specialist Shereen Sharma on our team.
She is one of the alumni from the first @NipponZaidan-@gebcobathymetry Training Programme, and now serves as Head of Engagement and Development for #Seabed2030! 👏
📢 We’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with @MarineBON1 and @MarineLife2030, who will be instrumental in advancing the field of #ocean#exploration with a focus on the observation of marine life. 🧵 1/3
Someday, we will be able to explore the deep ocean as @SchmidtOcean and @MBARI_News . Meanwhile, we are very proud of our little ROV that have reached 90 meters depth and taken these pictures 😊🌊
It’s #WorldHydrographyDay! Shout out to everyone involved in the @seabed2030 project which aims to map the world’s seafloor by 2030. 👏
NIWA, @gnsscience & @LINZLDS oversee the South & West Pacific area, one of four regional centres around the globe. 🌏

@CORI_news_@seabed2030 If we can achieve one observed depth value in the variable grid-cell sizes set out here then, for the purposes of the GEBCO Grid, we consider that part of the ocean to be adequately mapped.
@CORI_news_@seabed2030 Target Resolutions set out in Table 2 of our Paper published in Geosciences (https://t.co/HwTiP4x1em) & also in in our Seabed 2030 Roadmap. These papers seems to have dropped off our Website - we are going to fix that very soon.
