@AndrewGeddes16@PageauJonathan Prometheus is a rebellious figure, tried to steal the light. Lucifer is the "bringer of light".
It's also about measuring everything and "capturing" perfection.
@PageauJonathan I am amazed. Yet one more of your predictions turned correct. "Ai is going to make it a lot more obvious". It straight up used the Prometheus as the start. Apparently on the post it was made forst try by the ai too.
@TemplarsVoice Thing is, yeah most smart atheists want everyone else to follow those rules...
It's also true that most smart people think they can always break the rules if they need to for any reason unless they believe in God.
I suspect asmongold likes the rules but isn't bound by them.
@Real_Rye_Bread@UntoldFortune That is to say. If you have preferable traits thank God but like everything else stay humble. Racism is essentially pride, you can protect you right a people but do it in humility recognizing that when you do have something better it's from God.
@Real_Rye_Bread@UntoldFortune It's very politically incorrect to talk about this that white people think every race has an in group preference while some traits across all races are seen as favorable. Asians for example usually prefer larger eyes and most people prefer whiter skin and softer hair.
@philliplede It's interesting because now that you mention it, they did keep the body intact and just in a sense conformed it by destroying the head and otherwise keep it as normal. It's poetic. Also it's tragic now because it's ancient art but it could've been the same craftsman that did it.
@mastersafar1@VivaldiVril In what sense does a healthy kid "pay off"? We all die in the end. If you mean in the labor sense then when ai comes around we will all practically be disabled.
@dog_domain@howlinghowler_ Yeah, exactly my point. Would probably believe that of i didn't believe in God. But then there a large gabbing hole in that logic, what is consciousness? It's obviously immaterial and immeasurable. It's entirely special and the subject of utilitarianism that isn't explained.
@quantumking_@uncle_deluge It's about cutting off your brother in your heart. By that it doesn't even mean feeling it means disassociating from him. It's like murder because you cut your unity which is how you kill something. You can easily ruin a brotherhood if you for example threaten to reveal a secret
@Kekkama97@VivaldiVril It seems to me you don't believe in a higher authority in the cosmos then?
In that case there is neither success nor failure and arguing about it is useless. Dying isn't worse than surviving other than personal pleasure. In that case a right combination of drugs is all you need.
@RighterHR I mean, if it's just words on a screen it's natural to feel detached. If you feel apathetic if say a family member aborted a child then, yeah there is a problem there. But it's definitely an omen for very bad things to come if it doesn't stop, it seems to only grow at the moment
@Harlan631@VivaldiVril Is what the romans did supposed to be justification? Did you know Christians when spread through the empire actually would wait to rescue all the abandoned children? The disgusting abortion practice doesn't even leave that chance open.
@valgoroth_@VivaldiVril Better 25 than none. Honestly just don't even help them. Just don't kill them. Being compassionate isn't an obligation but not Killing is.
@Kekkama97@VivaldiVril What about the disabled? Say if you lose your leg we off you? Heck if you don't produce enough economically with statically significant predictors we just "abandon" you. There is no limit to this and it will definitely come back to bite utilitarian when Ai rolls around.
@mastersafar1@VivaldiVril Are you saying no one would take care of them? Or maybe their rights are too burdensome? It's easier to take care of stray dogs? This is so messed up on so many levels. It really is a sign and omen of what the new "civilized" world os capable of.
