⭕️ Zaha Hassan, a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, told TRT World that President Trump and Jared Kushner’s “Board of Peace” is not rebuilding Gaza but already advancing plans to confiscate Palestinian land and assets for private investors.

🔹Hassan said documents are being drafted to seize private Palestinian property, while unpublished Board of Peace resolutions could allow it to take control of public land and facilities, accounting for roughly 35% of Gaza.

🔹She warned that the redevelopment plans promoted by Kushner would require the mass displacement of Palestinians into smaller enclaves while Gaza’s land, gas reserves, and other assets are transferred into a trust serving investors and business interests.

“Commercial diplomacy is a euphemism,” Hassan said of US’s approach. “I would say what it is is grand theft.”

The Nobel Peace Prize to Navi Pillay reminds the world of the importance of the Rule of Law.

In awarding this year’s #NobelPeacePrize, the Norwegian Nobel Committee wants to remind the world that the rule of law – national and international – underpins the system we have set up to ensure peace and resolve conflicts non-violently. Peace requires justice.

History has shown that a world operating without the rule of law is unjust, unwise and inhumane. The judges – those who guard the thin red line between order and chaos – are therefore highly deserving of our praise. But today, as these same judges are sanctioned, and their institutions are attacked, we need people of courage, vision and determination – qualities that 2026 peace laureate Navi Pillay demonstrates in her work on the bench.

Three years have passed since October 7th, 2023.
Three years of death and destruction.

For those living between the river and the sea, much has changed in these three painful years. What hasn't changed is the system that brought this catastrophe into our lives.

The morning of October 7th we woke up to the sound of sirens and the feeling of fear in our stomachs. More than 1,200 Israelis were killed on that horrific day, 251 were kidnapped. We lost friends and partners that day.

More than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed since. The system of military control over millions of Palestinians has always been violent, and it has also bred violence. These three years have been tragic proof of this.

Three years, and counting. More than 1,100 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since the so-called “ceasefire” began, including two killed just yesterday. Almost the entire population of Gaza has been forced into less than a third of the Strip’s territory, where most people live in overcrowded tent camps without functioning public health or education systems.

For Palestinians in the West Bank, IDF-backed settler terror has long become a daily reality. Since October 2023, 65 Palestinian communities have been ethnically cleansed, while more than 250 settler outposts and over 100 settlements have been established under this government.

The occupation is the system that produces this violence and perpetuates it. The only way to break the cycle is to dismantle the system.

The team allegedly assaulted Hänsel, kidnapped the children, smuggled them into Germany, and handed them over to Block. A Danish court later ordered her to return the children to their father.

Hänsel testified that Hanning also recruited Yatom, who led the Mossad in the late 1990s. Yatom, speaking in a television interview several weeks ago, acknowledged knowing Hanning from the era when Helmut Kohl was Germany’s chancellor but denied any connection to the case. “I have no connection to this case. It’s simply a waste of time,” he said.

- The fear is not only leaked files but that US or British agents and informants could be identified from what was passed on.
- Partners were reportedly notified before the arrests.
- Western intelligence sources call the alleged breach a major coup for a foreign service and a potential blow to the intelligence-sharing alliance.
- #MI6, #GCHQ and several US agencies are reviewing sensitive information shared with European allies over the relevant period. The priority is protecting sources who may have been put at risk.
- Similar audits are expected among Germany’s other intelligence partners. Counterparts were reportedly notified before Tuesday’s arrests.
- The material included classified files from foreign partner agencies, as well as papers on Iran’s nuclear programme and the Russian military.
- Former MI6 officer Matthew Dunn says MI6 will be combing everything shared with the BND to see whether it compromises MI6 activities or people.
