If a Medical Consultant cannot save
N2 Million (AUD$2,000) in 12 Months,
You need to come to Australia STAT.
Reevaluate the value for your time.
You deserve better, much better.
Japa took me five years
I wasted millions of Naira
I collected visa rejections like souvenirs
Why?
I was stumbling around, in the dark
I navigated migration with zero knowledge
Stop gatekeeping.
The world doesn’t hide knowledge anymore

This isn’t about gatekeeping. I understand their concerns, and I don’t even live in Canada. Every time I go on TikTok and see a cringey video that attracts unnecessary attention, it’s always Nigerians in the UK or Nigerians who relocated from the UK. These are sensitive times, and anti-immigration rhetoric is at an all-time high. People are laying low.
Gentle Japa Reminder:
A country, where terrorists found a Brigadier General before his Army Colleagues,
Is not a country you expect to protect you, when you are kidnapped.
Be safe out there. ✌️

THIS IS ANOTHER REMINDER that many soldiers have complained that the Nigerian govt evil policy of sending terrorists into the Nigerian army and police is responsible for getting soldiers murdered.
Today a Brigadier General was murdered.

You are blowing steam about Nigerians’ language competence? Lol.
UK:
We don’t want you here.
Stop taking our jobs.
Australia:
Thank you for coming.
We appreciate your service.
Choose your migration destination carefully.

The reaction from NHS staff to me raising concerns about the language skills/competence of foreign nationals working in hospitals has been astounding.
This is a national scandal, hidden because people are scared of being called racist.
I don’t care about that - let’s have it out.
I am going to do everything in my power to push for change, with ministers and civil servants. But actually, the most important step for now is to openly highlight it.
We’ve accepted countless workers who are not up to the job - from Nigeria, the Philippines and many other countries. Particularly in regard to a complete inability to communicate in the English language.
Not racist. Fact.
I have deep concerns about the qualifications some of these individuals are claiming to have, and have seen concerning evidence about the lack of proper checks on supposed experience/ability.
I want to thank all of those NHS staff who have reached out. It is appreciated.
I am taking your concerns to Parliament and am dragging them into the light.
Can you share that one tweet?
You screenshotted or bookmarked it.
You’ve gone back to it often.
It has become like a mantra.
It guided you towards the lights this year.
I signed up for medicine in Nigeria.
I paid the price all that the top.
Then, I found out there was no prize.
Only sacrifice upon sacrifice.
So, I stepped aside.
I didn’t leave medicine. I left Nigeria.
I found out there was a prize for every price.
Leave Phriffo & his country

@iamAbode@neo_officialll Yes but still.
You signed up for medicine, so you have to pay the price. YOu still have to be dedicated to save lives regardless of the circumstances.
Otherwise step aside and follow another profession.
Japa Gentle Reminder:
This MF thinks Nigerian Doctors don’t deserve N1.6 Million in 30 days, when Doctors in Diaspora earn it in 1-5 days.
Keep alive the dream of living in countries where you are paid your true worth & the citizens don’t wish you ill will, as you do your job;

This poster made it a joke, but there are indeed doctors in Nigeria who earn the same as their colleagues abroad.
We should be having more of these conversations and documenting the HOWs.
20% of such doctors earn this income level from the PRACTICE of medicine.
80% earn it from the BUSINESS of medicine.
This conversation must be had, if only to reduce the wave of depression among so many Nigerian doctors not born into wealth who contemplate uncertain futures.
I appreciate your faith in me,
But if I knew ways of making money,
I go run leave Naija?
No vex but I no know road to wealth,
Aside change of environment.
That’s the leveller.
“You are saying japa, when it is expensive”
Fair. Let’s talk about ways you can move from earning N700,000 per month to earning N7,000,000 equivalent per month, while living in Nigeria.

Few years ago, Fellowship used to be the pinnacle, today Fellowship is gradually becoming a simple means to an end.
There are Fellows who now go out to restart Residency, and it's nothing but survival tactics.
No one would go through Residency and do it again by choice.
