Definitely consolidate, at least 4. From experience I can attest that 48gb to 96gb is a big step up. Just added in 2 more 3090s today so will have to report back on 144gb. Just a heads up, I’m not aware of any threadripper boards with more than 7 physical pcie slots so you’d have to either splitter or an nvme adapter but I’d default to whatever @gospaceport’s advice is here
@Web3Twon lol he’s not lying. I’m up to 6 3090s. Wild times that a 5 year old gpu is the best local AI bang for the buck. I will never forgive nvidia for the cardinal sin of removing NVLink from consumer cards after ampere
Brutal day for the portfolio but at least $SLAB @SlabDrop is fun. Now I just need to win a first edition holographic starter Pokemon card to recoup all of my $ZEC losses 🥲
Props to @ashen_one for having the iron cojones to launch a new project today of all days🫡
@0xSero I use qwen3.6-27b as the main brain for my Hermes agent and I leave reasoning on most of the time. Quality is better and most repeatable things get turned into skills anyway but that said, I am running locally so a bit less concerned with overall token usage.
One of my closest and longest brothers in crypto @ashen_one just launched his first project
How it works:
1. Hold the token (6RXiM7kFbVhqNnS12m8gUjNrvzUdL9kRTsYGJWHEFQTc)
2. Every 30 minutes, protocol fees are used to buy and raffle a Pokémon card to token holders
3. Winners can keep the card, sell it back to @phygitals for 90% of its value, or use it as collateral for a loan via @jup_offerbook
If there's one person in crypto I'd trust to build something like this it's Ashen
That said, don't buy it just because I'm saying that. This mfer is way too charming for his own good
But if you're into Pokémon, a bit of gambling, and like to be early this will be worth a look
Obviously I'm biased, so DYOR
I'm rooting for my guy and I genuinely think he's going to crush it
SITUATION DETECTED: Antares Nuclear’s Mark-0 reactor has achieved initial criticality at Idaho National Laboratory, what the U.S. Department of Energy is calling one of the most significant technological achievements in nuclear energy in over 40 years.
It's been a great effort by the early and growing American open-model labs since last June to put the US much more back on the map. We were getting totally owned last June.
Nvidia, Ai2, Arcee, Gemma, GPT-OSS and a few others will be seen as saving American open AI.
