It took 11 months for me to FINALLY get a diagnosis for #LongCovid. Anxiety wasn't the cause, it was blood clots in my lungs & fluid around my heart! Thousands are going through what I did. My story needs to be heard!! @guardiannews@guardian@Telegraph https://t.co/n5adlH2vZo
@savingmeredith Hi there - I don't use Twitter much now but what you shared really moved me. I stand with you guys in solidarity ;( Please have a look at my blog (link in bio) and perhaps it may help. I've had severe LC since March 2020 but I've come a long way, mostly because of #teamclots
Thank you for sharing some of my story @BBCHughPym
Just to add - my specialists at @RBandH found that my #longcovid damage was the same as post mortem findings and covid ICU patients.
This is how serious the disease is.
We look 'okay' from the outside but you can't see inside
Finally a report that communicates how serious #longcovid is. For those who’ve been told to just get on with it/it’s probably just anxiety/try harder, this will feel like validation. Show it to everyone who didn’t listen to you. @ucl@UniofExeter@long_covid
#LongCovidAwarenessDay
To mark 3 years of having #longcovid@Lucykeeffe and I put together this video project, uniting other brave sufferers also hitting their 3 year covidversary.
You are not alone ❤

@organichemusic Wow, thanks so much for sharing this! More hope. My specialists are contemplating trialling this in me but said it comes with a risk of high output heart failure in people without high PVR 😳 They used it a lot in patients with covid pneumonitis, which worked successfully.
A long list of #MECFS biomarkers.
H/T @BinitaKane 🙏🏾
You could do with having a look @nataliesurely@newrepublic@emilyecooke
Neither ME nor #LongCovid are psychogenic.
This is not a matter of opinion.
Babbling ‘mind body’ incessantly won’t change that

Yesterday, marked 22 months since I first had covid. 22 months of insidious #LongCovid.
Yesterday, I discovered that my venous oxygen saturation is 23% (normal ranges are 94%+).
Pulse oximeter = always 'normal'.
Can anyone help me get this microscopic clot test in the UK?😢
A refreshing Zoom with our 40+ clinician and research LC group tonight:Take-home:1) COVID is not a typical flu 2) Microclots=the result of LC not the cause 3) Platelet hyperactivation = central 4) individualised care=key @dbkell@DrGrahamLJ @drclairetaylor @Sunny_Rae1#teamclots
With chronic illness, you normalise so many things most people won't ever feel. You normalise high levels of pain, being exhausted, medical procedures and trauma, needing to rest after a shower. People see you surviving with an illness, but not all you had to normalise to do so.
