Are any of my followers or their followers located in or around the Bournemouth, UK area? I am thinking it would be pretty cool to get some from here to share at my home group!
@SoBurr5 Get to your doctor asap. I have no idea how much you have been drinking. You may need a supervised detox. I should have said this the first time. My apologies! π
@SoBurr5 Sugar, sweets, chocolate helped me early on. Our brain and bodies crave the sugar itβs being robbed of with no alcohol. Just know that however you feel it WILL pass π
If your heading to a Super Bowl party today and want some people to reach to cause you want to stay sober, check out our #soberconnections list. Nearly 100 accounts are listed of people that know the struggle and want to be there when you need it most. Stay active, stay sober.
@PodcastRecovery My area in the UK is a bit of a hot spot for recovery centres and meetings of AA, CA and NA. Many come here into treatment but end up relocating for the long term to support ongoing recovery.
@solutions_cwc I donβt believe I am recovered. My demon is sat on a chair at a table in the corner, patiently tapping their fingers on the table. Just waiting for a weak moment.
@thingsgetbette4 I have a fear of abandonment as a result of being adopted and my adoptive mother dying when I was young. The thought of abandoning my son was too much. Love won over alcohol! β€οΈ
@SoBurr5 Make a plan to keep busy. Visit people. Do jobs in your home. Eat sugary stuff. Chocolate. Call people. Read. Listen to music. Just DO anything that keeps your mind busy. Just take it a minute at a time. It will turn into hours. Then a day π
