JP, @JPuncut you cut me off mid sentence, when I said “sure” I’m was not saying that I believe he was literally praying to mountains I did not finish my sentence which was
“Sure, if you understand that he’s calling all of creation into a unified act of worship before God”
@SpeelingBChamp@FrontierOrtho@JPuncut John, the apostle is not John the Baptist, John the apostle was called Mary’s son. John the Baptist was beheaded before the crucifixion took place.
John the Baptist is his cousin, not John the apostle
@JPuncut@superxtianmario John the apostle isn’t his cousin and he never called John the Baptist Mary’s son
Unless you thought John the Baptist was at the crucifixion?
@RheaJanesfather@JPuncut If I don’t claim to be an Arian but I make an argument that is the argument Arians use, you can tell me I’m working in an Arian framework
@RheaJanesfather@JPuncut Because Christ isn’t a “human Jesus” and a “God Jesus” he is one person. Persons have relationships. The second person of the Trinity is the Son of Mary, thats their relationship.
Shes not mother of half of him Shes his mother of course he’s uncreated but that’s their relation.
@RheaJanesfather@JPuncut Because nestorianism is denying the title “Mother of God” to Mary because she is only the mother of his human nature which splits the person of Christ into two. A human and a divine person. So if you say she’s the mother of the human Jesus but not Jesus as God that’s Nestorian
@RheaJanesfather@JPuncut Both.
He descended into earth through her womb and he is without beginning
And he gave her the title of his mother by doing so
