I gladly pay a little more at other stores because #walmart refuses to accept my phone’s native payment method. I just had to abandon my $145 cart in-store, because “Walmart Pay” in their app couldn’t verify my card.
I marched straight to #HEB and bought my groceries with the same payment method. And because it uses Apple Pay, I was out the door no problem.
I don’t know why I even bother with Walmart anymore. I’m done.
Community Notes has a problem.
After I was harassed by Enterprising Desert Raven in a CN with the exposure of private information last week, one of his friends Community Noted a different post and exposed my information again, including a link to my own Community Notes profile just as EDR had. This is clear harassment, violation of my privacy and intentional attempted intimidation.
After the first abuser - EDR - was suspended last week, the second abuser re-noted the same post, again exposing my private information. These two Community Notes writers are working in tandem.
Fortunately, the second abuser was suspended too - until yesterday when X REINSTATED him and his associated X account. His Community Notes are again showing my personal information in the links.
Community Note writers are given pseudonyms for a reason. It protects us from harm, retaliation and harassment by those who don't like being community noted and embarrassed. These Community Notes writers had no right to expose my CN account and tie it to my X account. It is a terrible breach of my privacy.
I have a family, including three children. I am truly afraid for our safety. It only takes one crazy person to destroy lives, as we have seen time and again.
X's reinstatement of one of my abusers adds to my fear. When X gave me a Community Note pseudonym, I had a reasonable expectation of privacy.
If X allows this behavior in Community Notes to continue, why give us pseudonyms at all? Why pretend that X will protect us from danger and retaliation with anonymity, then reinstate abusers who do this very thing?
@elonmusk The red and green parts of the NGO definition are mutually exclusive. (i.e. If your organization receives government funding, you are not truly independent of government influence.)
