@TimSackett @dklineii This has not been my experience with either co-workers or direct reports. In my experience, most employees want to learn and grow and communicating what they need to do to improve is essential to that, as well as building on what they do well.

@Coalition_Radio @CityofPawtucket @DonGrebien @PSDRI_Schools @DanYorkeShow @TaraGranahan @AInfanteGreen @gpp475 @ConcernedRIer @JenStewartRI @RIDeptEd My reading is not that the city is out of money but rather that due to the turnover in the school finance office (myself included) there's been no reimbursement requests to RIDE, those reimbursements are crucial to cash flow in the capital reserve fund and debt service to bonds.

I urge people to have grace and patience.

It is a rare occurrence and I understand the frustration but let's not demonize and label people as 'culprits'.

My point is that these employees have the legal and moral right to demand the money they earned without people like you flippantly disregarding their concerns.

Early in my time with PSD, I helped sponsor a DonorsChoose project for a PSD classroom. As I am clearing out my office as I move on to the next chapter, I found some of the letters the students sent to me. It's going to be difficult to leave such meaningful work behind.

Unfortunately that also means that I'm leaving the Pawtucket School Department. I have enjoyed an incredible 8 years in public service both in payroll and more recently in finance. I will miss all the friends made along the way.

@only_hughman I don't know, if I've been very sick friends and family have brought me gatorade, food, hot soup, etc. They don't have anything to make you feel better but make you feel more comfortable and recognize you're probably not well enough to go to the store or to cook meals.
