On Saturday, I competed at Maple Ridge Favourites 2025- a Rubik's Cube competition with a variety of events. I'm excited to share that I got 6th place in the 3x3 blindfolded event with a solve of 1m45s- a new competition personal record for myself.
@jojojojojobz@604RAW Imagine owning the libs by causing an accident. Most people might not know the language (even though it's on a reserve, not a public road), but they can tell that it's a stop sign. Also, you'll lose in court. Drive safe & follow the law.
@hex_ro94860@KarlFardman@CityNewsVAN You'd rather pay for an elite international soccer game than people who have fallen through the cracks in society? Those who became addicted to medicine their doctor gave them don't deserve support, but FIFA (which has proven to be corrupt) deserves tax $? Ridiculous. Grow up.
Hi Caroline,
Recovering addict here with over 13 years sober. I also help people access detox, treatment, recovery housing, and support services every single day.
Whoever is informing you likely isn’t actually working on the frontlines, because people are entering recovery every. single. day.
I’d be more than happy to personally give you a tour of recovery services and introduce you to people rebuilding their lives right now.
Owners of some iPhones are in line to get cash payments of up to $95 from Apple after the company on Tuesday reached a $250 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit for false advertising of its artificial intelligence capabilities.
@SarcasticallyAJ All types of housing can fail if it's neglected. Low-barrier can work just fine (like the ones i visited), but it's a complicated situation that depends on a variety of factors.
@sever@pagefaultty Very arbitrary & subjective- especially "bloated", "dogshit", + "useless".
Kyc is easy to fake. Tor (especially the browser) isn't backdoored. Chromium (+ Tor) is open-source. Every company has to comply with subpoenas.
Telegram has issues, but almost everything is centralized.
"Surveillance pricing" (as it's called) was discussed by @NDP@avilewis -a novice but present idea- it's noticable on Uber/flight/hotel costs.
But, are price tags connecting to our phone & accessing our browser history? I've studied computer science for 10+ yrs. My 2 cents:
"We are not insulated from this predatory practice in Canada. Surveillance pricing is opaque by design, making it harder for experts and consumers to detect where & when it’s happening," says NDP Leader Avi Lewis, calling for govt action to address algorithmic pricing.

The idea we're surveilled via our phones at the grocery store (ex. $ based on browser history) is false & dangerous.
We are surveilled online, but we must be educated on how it's actually happening.
Our phones do not "listen" to us, nor do they reveal our browsing history.
