Crazy ride. Was surreal watching @Lebeaucarnews and @AmericanGreedTV say the Badger trucks never existed as I’m walking by one of them in the Nikola lobby. I called them out here. They never retracted their misreporting or even took down this tweet. “Hit em while they’re up, Hit em while they’re down” - Don Henley 🤷♂️🍿
Super Intelligence: @bot takes a one-line request, researches the best Lego Star Wars sets for young kids, and places the order. No human required.
Actual Idiocy: @elonmusk screenshot's the confirmation and posts it to 242 million followers, with his shipping address, billing address, email, and the last four of his Amex.
I think I can see Skynet's point of view here....
Elon Musk just used Grok Bot to shop for his kids
He asked it to research the most fun Lego Star Wars kits for young kids… and order them
"As easy as that"
No need for searching through endless listings, no comparing reviews or checkout forms
Just one message, and Grok Bot did the research, picked the best options, and placed the order
This is what a real personal assistant actually is, and it's already here right now
@IntCyberDigest there's gotta be a name for this. flexing new tech while doing something egregiously stupid on the basics...seems to happen a lot around Tesla/Elon tech.
Future-forward, basics-backward
Forget about FSD, remember there is an airbag in front of this dumbass. If there’s a crash (some other dumbass), the airbag deploys with a small explosive device about 1.5ft in 1/20th of a second straight at four face. The tray is now lodged into your lungs and whatever’s on it is now fused into your face. FSD and Tesla reacted to the crash as intended. Your dumbass so amazed by FSD has just been killed by 30 year old safety tech that you forgot was there.
How about an airbag deployment. Some asshole runs a light. The Tesla reacts and mitigates the crash and pre deploys the airbag. The bag ignites and moves 1.5 feet towards your face in 1/20th of a second. Your tray is now launched into your chest and the plates and whatever else is launched into your face as it slams into the soft bag. You’re now either dead or disfigured in a 30mph fender bender because your dumbass wants to flex.
You should remind them that there are explosives to deploy the airbag out of the wheel about 1.5 feet in 1/20 of a second. That tray, laptop and whatever will drive through their body and ensure a major medical issue. This is stupid behavior and you shouldn’t let anyone you care about take that risk.
Agree Tesla are safe an I’m a big fan of predictive deployment.
To be precise: airbags have been adaptive since the 2000s. Multi-stage inflators vary output by crash severity, belt use, seat position and occupant class (FMVSS 208). Tesla's cabin radar does the occupant-class piece. What I haven't seen is any Tesla doc showing cameras mapping height/weight to shape deployment. Got one? And if seat position is an input, a single sliding bench gives two very different riders the same value. I’m struggling how this is safer than properly positioned seats for each rider.
@DirtyTesLa its re-routing you to avoid the train tracks on 12th street. It looks like an overpass on Pleasant Valley. Same situation probably you posted about earlier - seems purposely avoiding the rail tracks (just like Waymo did in Phoenix and other places) https://t.co/0DJllVdIp3
