@LeePursglove@RY51MMO@DanLasserson@AcutemedSarbc@UKHaHSoc @NHSEnglandCHS @GeriSoc And I'd happily listen for a week π

I'm currently in District Nursing.
POCUS trained and accredited by SAM via their FAMUS training...
I KNOW there's a space for it in primary care. It hasn't much momentum at the moment.
Looking to innovate what we're doing here!
Is there scope for POCUS to be used in primary care? Any case studies on POCUS being used in district nursing?

Collaborative working to solidify the admission avoidance model?

This. 100%.
Whilst working in a Hospital at Home service under a "Virtual Ward" name, I frequently encountered patients, relatives, carers, AND HCPs who were confused by the terminology.
This is a huge step forward for H@H!
Time to stop the term 'Virtual Wards' - patients and their families find it confusing (as do clinicians).
Hospital at Home describes what we do, links to a global evidence base and a world wide network of clinicians, researchers and societies who all use 'Hospital at Home'
@invasionofcamel@10DowningStreet You can, most certainly, deliver hospital level care at home.
Happy to point you in the direction of some literature or discuss with you to help clarify ππ»
Ultrasound in Acute Medicine is an important aspect of improving patient care and outcomes. Essential that training in ultrasound within Acute Medicine is supported with both time and equipment.

#POCUS is a tool of value to anyone who looks after unwell patients...whatever their age, wherever they're assessed.
The sooner it becomes standard of care, the better.
Great work!
@kittywonghf@WomenSurgeonsUK Not suggesting it's in any way of such pertinence...
But as I male nurse, I also find unconscious bias in my day to day.
Gloves too small, work space to low etc.
We're pleased to be sharing a series of blogs on our website. Read the first one here written by our very own @mrsapea about workforce challenges in #hospitalathome https://t.co/bHqcQZI2kB
Looking to develop our IV fluids and antibiotics policies for our hospital at home team...
Would anyone be kind enough to share with me the policies/SOPs from your own service? :)

Many of the patients I see are confused by 'virtual ward'
Often thought of as "AI", "Robots" and "remotely monitoring patients from a screen"
There needs to be a greater emphasis on acute, face to face, hospital level care, at home. I.e #hospitalathome#virtualwards@UKHaHSoc
I'm looking to write a business case to secure funding for nurse-led POCUS in our virtual ward team.
Any signposting or advice would be greatly appreciated :)
