The Sahel Camp used to get food from our kitchen regularly but we have cut down recently. During our visit, the residents explained to The Sameer Project team that they no longer get community kitchens and are suffering a lot. Please help here: https://t.co/6l9JFjWInX
On June 7, the Translating Falasteen x The Sameer Project team gave out 300 meals of rice and vegetables to the Sahel Camp, which cost around $483 including 11% commission. Families asked us to bring meat meals but we currently can’t afford that.
The Sameer Project aspires to operate at maximum capacity and provides dignified meals to Palestinians in Gaza. But without enough funds that’s not feasible.

In his neighborhood in Nuseirat, The Sameer Project distributed food in Mosab Ali’s honor. One of the first people to work in The Sameer Project back in early 2024 and last summer, he was killed by the military occupation while distributing aid.
June 15th is a tough date for us and we all gathered to remember him on his one year death anniversary. All the distributions on that day had pictures of him printed and we also gave out Qurans and Dua’a (prayer) booklets.
The Amer Camp in Zawayde and his neighbourhood in Nuseirat (Mahkama Street) got 215 meals of rice and meat. The cost for the meals was approximately $1,295 including the 11% commission we always pay.
Every meal we give out and every drop of water we distribute is dedicated to our martyrs. Glory to our martyrs.

Bolivia's neoliberal govt has just declared a state of exception and ordered the military to break all strikes and protests. Human rights are now formally suspended, serious repression will be launched at workers who are still mobilised.
Rural workers in Bolivia will continue to strike despite the state of exception that authorises military force against them.
The main union confedation had agreed to end strikes in exchange for end to privatizations. These rural federations want to continue until govt resigns.
Bolivia's union confederation has forced the government to withdraw all privatization and anti-land reform laws, in exchange for ending the general strike. Agreement signed.
However (big however), most affiliated unions state that they want to maintain strike until govt resigns.
How is that during the week of Eid, world central kitchen let go of 500 team members and reduced food supply by 50% and in the same week UNDP and other international organizations stopped millions of liters per day to 256 areas in Gaza? What’s going on?
If initiatives like this do not receive enough donations and support they will not be able to continue. It is that simple. Please share and donate if you're able to:

I've collected some truly remarkable quotes from Israeli officials:
• “A ceasefire being in effect does not prevent us from continuing operations.”
• “A ceasefire does not mean ceasing fire. It means not escalating the attacks.”
• “If Hezbollah tries to confront Israeli advances in southern Lebanon, we will defend ourselves and retaliate.”
“A ceasefire does not mean ceasing fire” is apparently a brand-new contribution to the English language. If you're confused by that, you're probably just an anti-semite.
And the logic gets even better:
“Yes, we're in a ceasefire. We'll keep advancing into your territory, but you're not allowed to resist. And if you do resist, we'll retaliate because you're violating the ceasefire.”
At this point, one has to wonder why it's called a ceasefire at all. By that definition, a ceasefire seems to mean that one side keeps doing whatever it wants while the other side is expected to sit quietly and applaud.
