Okay not subtweeting @domluszczyszyn , just wanted a clear post.
I think Larkin probably slots somewhere in that early twenty range, where I think it gets hard to justify having him as your number one centre without someone similar behind him.
So realistically who is above Larkin here? And who’s similar, where a swap is a neutral move?
Imo Zib, Barzal, Petersson, are below him. But after that, you’re pretty neutral.
I don’t think any of these teams are winning with 1 of these guys at centre.
@hockeyFanGOAT@dhockey13 Ya as an oilers fan, I’d probably only swap Demidov in for someone. Basically keeps MTLs roster intact, they would have to move a young guy anyways once Mcdavid signed there, and all these guys are top end prospects.

I’m only entertaining this because it’s fun…
Demidov, Reinbacher, Fowler, Hage and a 1st? Maybe swap in Zharovsky somewhere?
Two forwards, one dman and one goalie. Leave Montreal’s roster mostly intact.
@Chens89@albmau@Bob_Stauffer@BigBurthockey IMO, players needing physical development that are high end hockey players (Mckenna, DuPont) will benefit.
The 18yr old that had to play third line on a stacked CHL team and now gets first line minutes probably benefits staying in CHL to develop his puck skills
@EdmOilerlytics@Kgill39 Laviolette is a bad choice, and Id rather cast the net further.
His NYR teams got consistently out chances as were “saved” by shesterkin, and his runs before that weren’t great
Imo this roster is not a great fit for a trap system, unless someone with closer knowledge says so
@knockoutpanda@TheLineBlender I’m not sure, they’re apparently letting Boone Jenner walk. Little bit different situation than Chicano who actively wanted out imo
@oilersgm2@JeffMarek@thesheethockey Also, he’s scoring from Draisaitls spot on the PP, don’t really see the fit there.
IMO money on Tuch to play Hymans spot beside Mcdavid, or Mcann to play beside Draisaitl are better moves that don’t cost as much
@LJagger57091@jtbourne Problem with Foegele is his hands don’t keep up with his feet. Great forechecker, but kills plays Ideal PKed/3rd line checker.
I don’t think JP can process the game fast enough to play in the NHL. IMO that’s why he looks good in Europe, the larger ice surface gives him more time
