This doesn't even make fucking sense.
UEFA would be a lot less relevant?
We've had a European Champions Cup since 1950. The 3 big leagues in Europe are 100 (150 England) plus years old. The English pyramid was built by exclusive British Isles based people, players and supporters.
The World? Liked it so much in the 60's and 70's their TV companies demanded they showed it, loved it so much that thousands fly to England from across the planet to watch their team.
You're a Yank. A nation that for a month thought its sporting discourse was so important that you collectively changed its rules, it's breaks, all to fit your worldview. In comparison, European nations have adhered mostly to the rules, laws and slow evolution that the most simple sport demands.
We don't fucking need your money.
We've propped our clubs up for 150 years and if Coca Cola, McDonald's, Mastercard took their sponsors toys and left, those clubs would be around for another 150 years, because we aren't you, we stay until the end, we don't need other "markets" to move our clubs to when they're fucking shit , we just turn up. Same in most European countries.
UEFA is the most relevant sporting body on earth with the most pro clubs, most history, most appeal. Europeans alone could afford to keep clubs viable without one foreign supporter visiting the continent. This is a fact.
You're just bitter because people see through the ultra greed, the faux interest in our sport and rabid need to consume everything you fucking touch.
European football clubs and culture can survive without FIFA. As they did for many decades.
All you're doing in your opening line is projecting your own weakness. So I'll translate.
"Europeans are top dogs at something that we're not nor ever will be so I'll write a post projecting my insecurity onto Europeans".
As supporters on my 150 year old club once said to one of its managers. We're not fickle, we just don't like you.
As a Bayern Munich journalist, Liverpool used their pulling power to ask about Michael Olise.
Bayern Munich responded with a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet which confused Richard Hughes and Arne Slot.
The spreadsheet in question listed six players and a number
- Isak (4)
- Wirtz (12)
- Ekitike (22)
- Kerkez (3)
- Frimpong (3)
- Leoni (0)
Then it listed another number - €380,000,000
At the bottom of the spreadsheet was a note from Max Eberl who explained the numbers. It said:
"Liverpool spent €445m this summer and the new signings have a combined goals/assists totaling 44. From my perspective, Liverpool pay €10,000,000 per goal contribution and since Michael Olise has 38 contributions for Bayern Munich this year, I will set his price for the going rate that Liverpool are okay paying."
Richard Hughes was left fuming and my sources tell me Arne Slot still doesn't understand it.
🚨 Gregory Van der Wiel's incredible testimony about his career 😳🥺
𝗔𝗕𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗬 read this 👇
“I won 16 trophies. And I felt nothing. No joy, no pride, no relief. Nothing. I couldn’t enjoy a single moment of my career. Because I was too busy… wearing a mask. Pretending to be okay. Avoiding anything that might unsettle me. Showing that I had everything under control.
I wore that mask for so long that I eventually became the mask itself. A robot playing a role without feeling a thing.
If you feel this way, that mask isn’t protecting you. It’s killing you. Take it off.
What would you give to play without fear? To step onto the field and feel totally FREE. No pre-game anxiety. No post-game depression. Just you. Fully present. Fully focused. Fully yourself.
Most athletes will never know that feeling. They’ll spend their entire careers playing in fear. Fear of the coach’s reaction. Fear of the fans’ judgment. Fear of the media headlines. Fear of their own thoughts.
And they’ll call it ‘pressure.’ They’ll say: ‘That’s just football.’
It’s not. It’s a prison. And I lived in it for 15 years.
I played stiffly when I should have played freely. I held back when I should have exploded. I doubted myself when I should have had confidence.
The version of myself I could have been? It still exists, somewhere. It never saw the light of day. It still torments me, it still haunts me.
But you? You still have time.
You have time to develop the mindset that will set you free. You have time to perfect the tools that will make you invincible in every match.
This inner work is demanding. It’s the hardest thing you’ll ever do in your life. And it’s truly the only thing that changes everything.”
BREAKING: The family of Alex Pretti releases a powerful statement about his senseless murder at the hands of Trump's masked fascist goons.
Please share this far and wide...
"We are heartbroken but also very angry. Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital," the family said in a statement provided to CNN.
"Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the hero term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman."
"The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down all while being pepper sprayed."
"Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you."
It is our responsibility as Americans to get the truth out there. Petti was not attempting to harm anyone. He was swarmed, beaten, and disarmed by vicious federal agents who were looking for someone to hurt. Once they had removed his gun — which he had a legal permit to carry — they executed him in cold blood by firing numerous bullets into him. Then, the Trump administration proceeded to immediately falsely smear him as a "terrorist" who wanted to carry out a mass shooting against law enforcement. They're utterly shameless.
“He cared about people deeply and he was very upset with what was happening in Minneapolis and throughout the United States with ICE, as millions of other people are upset,” said Pretti's father Alex. “He thought it was terrible, you know, kidnapping children, just grabbing people off the street. He cared about those people, and he knew it was wrong, so he did participate in protests.”
Rest in power Alex. The rest of us will carry on the fight.

This is completely unreported. It is an internal coup. I believe it will very soon become clear that Maduro's vice president Delcy Rodríguez (@delcyrodriguezv) has made a deal with the Americans.
That's why it was possible for the Americans to capture Maduro so easily - Delcy Rodríguez simply betrayed him and made a backroom deal with the Americans that she becomes the new president.
Trump mentioned it explicitly at the press conference just held, but none of the journalists caught it.
This means the regime still holds power—and yes, this may also be the deal Trump has made with Putin. It is NOT regime change.
And there is no democracy. Maduro is out, but the regime remains.
And Delcy Rodríguez's payment: Venezuela's oil goes to Trump and perhaps Putin. The leader of Venezuela's democratic opposition, María Corina Machado @MariaCorinaYA, can forget about returning to Venezuela—and forget about democracy.
It honestly feels rather Vichy-like.
@InvertTheWing Just need a 300M€ Transfer Summer or 600M€+ over the last three years to achieve that. Both teams not the same league for a simple reason.
Es ist aber auch in allen Belangen ein Qualitätsunterschied. Der Eine bringt Martinelli, Calafiori und Odegaard. Der Andere Bischof, Jackson und Goretzka.... #ARSBAY
All the decisions concerning Poland will be taken by Poles. Nothing about us without us. When it comes to peace, all the negotiations should include Ukraine. Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.
