@NBCPhiladelphia@JohnnyNBC10 NBC10 has it backwards. UArts is not closing due to the loss of accreditation, rather they are losing their accreditation following and due to UArts’ notification of closure sent to Middle States Commission on Higher Education on Wednesday w/o following proper closure protocol.
@mrossana@frankkummer@PhillyInquirer Yes and the diminutive one in Welcome Park is inconsequential (and totally out of scale with its pedestal) in comparison to the 36’ c. 1892 statue by Alexander Milne Calder atop City Hall. There’s yet another William Penn statue in Penn Treaty Park.
@TODNewsHub This was revealed over a year ago, including the renderings, but okay. Still tied up in zoning with previous related permits’ issuance challenged by neighbors. Previously continued ZBA hearing November 15.
@JackPhillyRE Looking closer, via the daily zoning report, I see this lot consolidation extinguishes the unity-of-use permit ZP-2022-012487. That permit included the old charter school at 512-20 S Broad, while this new permit does not.
@JackPhillyRE But aren’t the other 2 related zoning permits still tied up in a challenge at the ZBA by neighbors from Symphony House? I see that matter is still calendared for Nov 15 at ZBA. This new permit just seems to be routine lots lines stuff, tied to the unity of use in the 2022 permits

@SEPTA_SOCIAL FYI, the rt 17 Navy Yard detour which expired 7/31 and has been removed from the online status should still be in force — Broad St is still closed in the Navy Yard and may remain closed for another month or so. The construction appears to be nowhere near completion.
@cparkernews@SmithsonianMag One small correction: the $150K Mellon Foundation grant can NOT be used toward the rehabilitation of the house, but is to fund planning of related cultural programs. Additional fundraising is in progress to stabilize and rehab the Tanner house.
@SEPTA_SOCIAL why does the rt 17 Phillies game detour extend to 11pm when the game has been over for maybe an hour now?
Location: 19th & Moyamensing
Reason: Phllies Game
Start: 5/21/2023 1:10 PM
End: 5/21/2023 11:00 PM
@PhillyInquirer, online you’d posted wrong article with Elon Musk NPR story hed. The body of story is about FED raising interest rates. https://t.co/Azq5IS7oN6 😜
@SEPTA_SOCIAL Please get these detours corrected before my return trip on 17 from N.Y. at 7:03pm. I think they're confusing w/ next weekend's Broad St Run.
@SEPTA_SOCIAL 2 overlapping cutbacks posted for rt 17 from yester thru 8pm today seem to be an error. Only stadium area event today is Phillies at 12:05pm. I had to walk from 20th & Pattison to Navy Yard just now as result and found all streets wide open. https://t.co/ERt5QewB6A
@harrisonfinberg@RisingRealEst We’d been following this at the Philadelphia Industrial & Commercial Heritage fb group and are delighted to see work in progress: https://t.co/Hw6Nzd3pzD
The N.R. nomination a few years ago was our tip-off that something good would be happening here. Target date for completion?
