韓鶴子お母様の一審判決や追加起訴を受けて、教団に反対する勢力は「いよいよ家庭連合は終わりだ」と喧伝しているようです。

では、現役信者のあいだで信仰を棄てる人が増えているのか。
僕には長野の事情しか分かりませんが、解散請求が進んでも、判決が出ても、周囲が減ったという実感はほとんどありません。
昨日も我が家には十数名の仲間が集まり、み言の配信を聞き、昼食を囲む時間を持っていました。

そもそも、歴代の宗教指導者たちは、国家から厳しい処遇を受けてきました。
イエスは死刑に処され、
ルターは国外へ追われ、
日蓮は流罪となり、
キング牧師はたびたび投獄され、
ダライ・ラマは亡命したまま帰国できません。

宗教はもともと国家秩序を超えるものを含むため、その国の法は守るべきである一方、国家を超えて人類全体の平和のために生きる姿は、尊敬を集めると同時に批判も招きます。

僕は、過去の過度な献金実態などへの批判は受け止め、反省すべき点もあると考えています。
しかし、教団を解散させることは行き過ぎた処分だと思います。
また、元本部長の証言以外に具体的な証拠が十分示されないまま下された韓鶴子お母様への実刑判決も、現政権の思惑に根差した強引な判断だと感じています。

それでも僕は、「平和の母」として姿勢を変えず、世界平和のために歩み続けておられる韓鶴子お母様を慕い、共に歩みたいと思っています。
その孝の心情も、信仰心も、揺らいではいません。

全国弁連は「解散になれば、すぐに3割程度は信仰を棄てるでしょう」と語っていました。
しかし、そうはならないことが、やがて明らかになると思います。

South Korea’s backsliding on religious freedom should be concerning to everyone. The miscarriage of justice in the case of Dr. Hak Ja Han alarmingly shows that its judicial system is failing to live up to democratic standards

Dr. Han, the 83-year old leader of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, has been convicted in a case where the allegations against her came from a disgruntled and disgraced former church officer who had already been expelled from the Family Federation. She has serious health issues and no criminal history but is being treated like a hardened criminal.

Perhaps most alarming in all of this are the reports that the Chinese Communist Party, no friend to religious freedom or other democratic values, is partially behind this and other persecutions by supporting the groups advocating for the prosecutions. Dr. Han’s family and the church are well known for their anti-communist crusades and South Korea should protect against CCP influences in its legal system.

It is a travesty of justice that Dr. Han has been convicted. I hope the courts will consider her health and allow her to stay out of prison while her appeal is being considered.

Today the Seoul Central District Court delivers its first-instance verdict. At her final hearing on July 10, the special counsel asked for 13 years in prison.

Dr. Hak Ja Han offered no attack on the special counsel and no attack on the government. She testified to God’s dream, and to a life spent trying to make that dream real.

“I have dedicated my entire life to serving Heaven and realizing the ideal of one peaceful human family. I have never sought power through money.

As the leader of the Family Federation, I deeply apologize for unintentionally causing controversy and trouble in many areas.

Throughout my life, I have emphasized that we must serve Heaven in order to realize a peaceful world through the True Family Movement, and I have lived traveling around the world to accomplish this.

Therefore, it breaks my heart that the person I trusted and entrusted with everything has brought about the current situation.

Until the day my life comes to an end, I will continue to advance toward this goal, no matter where I am.

I will pray that this nation, blessed by Heavenly Parents, will fully carry out its responsibility as the second Israel and chosen nation, and that its people will live up to that calling.

Let me say once more: An unseemly incident like what has occurred today must never happen again.

Now, for the sake of our future descendants, I pray and bestow my blessing that this nation will become one where a beautiful world on earth, free from war and conflict and centered on Heaven, can unfold.

LAS VEGAS, Aug. 30, 2026 - Hundreds of people gathered Sunday outside the International Peace Education Center in Las Vegas for a prayer vigil in support of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, known worldwide as the Mother of Peace, as she awaits a verdict in a closely watched criminal case in South Korea.

Participants stood together in prayer around the iconic globe outside of the center, with some holding photographs of Dr. Han and her late husband, Rev. Sun Myung Moon, who together founded a global religious movement dedicated to strengthening families and advancing peace.

The Las Vegas gathering was part of a broader show of prayer and solidarity for Dr. Han by supporters around the world.

Dr. Han faces the possibility of imprisonment in South Korea. Her case comes amid heightened scrutiny of religious organizations and conservative religious groups in the country, leading supporters and religious freedom advocates to characterize the proceedings against her as part of a politically motivated crackdown by the current South Korean administration. South Korean authorities have pursued the case as a criminal prosecution.

Anti-China sentiment among the Korean people is reaching an extreme level. However, through election fraud, the core powers, including the legislature, the executive branch, the judiciary, and the media, have been taken over by pro-China forces. Therefore, in South Korea, the will of the people, public opinion polls, and the will of the people, policies, and laws are all operating separately.

Correcting this ultimately means that there is no choice but to eradicate election fraud. The beginning of this will be for the United States to impose sanctions on the pro-China groups that have formed a huge power cartel and create cracks within it. It is absolutely necessary to sanction members of the anti-American, pro-China election fraud cartel, including judges, the media, and members of the executive branch.

The United States must make full use of the fact that more than 90% of Koreans are anti-China, and that more than 60% have awakened to election fraud.
