@stevok9305 I've the exact same issue.
With the added problem that I'm now based abroad, and the Covid helpline number can't be called from abroad. I could not find the "international" version of the number, any idea who may know it?
@ShellStationsUK please be informed that the air pump at gipsy hill, London, is not working properly and I need a 2£ refund on the transactions done at around 12:30h today (1 by card, 1 by cash, both can be refunded to the card). Thanks.
@clevakev@rothairisbeoir Actually when they stopped me getting in, people on the walki-talkie were asking if it was a bike or a motorcycle, due to the MTB full face helmet I guess haha.
When getting the ticket at Irish Ferries I was told I'd cycle into the boat, to use my red rear flashing light. But then I was stopped outside the boat because it's not safe to cycle in (if was a motorcycle, would be OK). Walked it, used elevator and locked on wheel stand.
@clevakev@rothairisbeoir I'd say so, for essential travel for sure. Why wouldn't they? If that happened I'd have to say my eBike is a Motorcycle getting registered in the UK next day or something :P
@rothairisbeoir On the way out, where people go to their vehicles, I was told to wait with foot passengers and then they were waiting for me on the bus while I unlocked the bike (I thought I was walking out again, or riding, but they told me the bus was waiting for me haha).
@peterwalker99@CrossCountryUK A lot easier on this other train also by Avanti West Coast, Crewe to Euston (London), here they do ask you for the bike reservation to open the bike door for you with a key.
@peterwalker99@CrossCountryUK Heavy and long eBike, so a bit harder, I put it up at 1st station where I had lots of time before the train started moving. On Avanti West Coast.
Let's see what it's like to put it back down while the train is moving, to not miss the stop.
Close call caused by bad driver not using mirrors, neither blinkers. @dublincycling is there a solution to this junction, other than driver education? Thanks.

The costs of building bike lanes are outweighed by the health and environmental benefits by 10:1 a study from New Zealand shows - https://t.co/UzpuVUyZSs
@dublincycling They demonstrated how to cut a cable with an angle grinder, as if the 80€ U-Lock could resist that. This 299$ lock is the only angle grinder proof lock, not designed to be carried around at over 6kg.
@dublincycling Maybe it's better for Garda not to say what they are doing to tackle bike theft, to not let the thief know how to avoid getting caught? Just an idea. Or they could give a non detailed idea like "we're trying new ways"?
Bait bikes could be a good way, but better not to mention it?
@declanorourke@dublincycling All its forms? Electric uni"cycling" too?
If so, I would not mind giving you a private lesson when conditions allow it ;)
Anyone interested in an electric unicycle lesson in Dublin, just PM me.
