@sariahwilson A truly great homage to the mother could have been done with Leia giving the very last of her life force to keep Ben from dying—the reason why she disappears from under the sheet at the end. Fans have edited it that way and it actually works perfectly:

I would’ve preferred something that made more sense WRT this scene in ROTJ. Until ROTS came out, I argued against all predictions that Padmé would die in the film, b/c Leia had to be able to remember her. However, it does explain why Vader doesn’t think he has a child out there.

@SkyeMcKenna77 In my Episode X fanfic, I have Anakin’s spirit explain to Rey that he tried, but he couldn’t communicate with Ben because Ben wasn’t open to hearing from him. That’s what makes most sense to me.

Star Wars is about opposing evil in this world, no matter the odds or the danger, as well as the power of love, which are really inspiring messages to me.

SW inspired me to write & put my writing out in public, something I have never done before. I’ve made art & music b/c of SW.

Liked reading the replies to this. The Obi-Wan/Anakin dynamic made Anakin’s fall so much more tragic, and gave so much more weight to the scene where Obi-Wan tells Luke about his father being “a cunning warrior and a good friend.”

@wguid @Timcast The CCP has also been sending Christians and others to labor and re-education camps for a long time. It is not just Muslims, although certainly the Uyger concentration camps are a recent escalation by the CCP. But they’ve been escalating their actions against Christians too.

@twinsunsf As a young kid I was terrified aliens were real and also terrified of any movie villain. So I wasn’t a great candidate to watch SW. But when I turned 15, a friend brought ANH to my b-day sleepover, saying SW was awesome & I had to see it. I loved it and was hooked immediately.

Which is more anti-Semitic, posting an analogy to Nazi Germany in which you clearly express that the treatment of Jews was BAD, or publicly supporting an anti-Semitic candidate for Congress, as Mark Hamill did?

Apparently the first is a fireable offense & the second one is fine.
