@RickL1A I don’t disagree. My point is let’s hold GSP and overall hub violence to the same standard.
Innocent people dying = bad. Let’s end of all it. And not selectively blame public institutions to fit a narrative we have in our heads.
Let me get this straight...
1) Gun violence = shooters at fault
2) GSP kills innocent bystanders = person running from law is at fault
3) Person dies senselessly on MARTA - it's MARTA's fault ?
I think there are serious challenges on MARTA. But come on. Let's be consistent.
I welcome the Secretary of Transportation to investigate MARTA. If they are doing something wrong - hold them accountable.
But let's have the same standard for GA DOT and GSP when it comes to unnecessary road violence with high speed chases.
There are 1000 things that MARTA can do to improve safety and security - 100%.
No one should feel unsafe on MARTA - 100%
However, I, and my kids, almost died because of a GSP high speed chase ended near my kids school.
I was closer to death then any other point of my life.
@billjohansen1@tristamac We’d win one of two ways… $ to spend on transit. And/or less congestion on our urban streets meaning buses could operate better. Either way, we win.
Jeff Bezos on CNBC: "If people want me to pay more billions, then let's have that debate, but don't pretend that that's gonna solve the problem. You could double the taxes I pay, and it's not gonna help that teacher in Queens.... Airbnb isn't causing high rents. What's really causing high rent is government intervention."
New cycle track, who dis???
Lane feels particularly narrow. Don’t love how Ted Turner to Forsyth block. Do love that it exists 😂
Curious if C.O.P. to also get cycle track, as would be huge value better connecting AUC & neighbors to the west & south to Downtown, Tech, Midtown…
