They should be called outdoor warning sirens. Calling them tornado sirens perpetuates confusion and misunderstanding. Many of them activate for additional hazards including 70+ mph thunderstorm winds and very large hail. #SevereWx #TornadoSafety #WeatherAware #WeatherReady
