Look How Far You’ve Come

1 Samuel 7:12
“Thus far the Lord has helped us.”

As you start your day, take a moment to look back. Not to live in the past, but to recognize what you’ve actually survived. Some of you have walked through things that could have broken you. You’ve faced battles people never saw, carried weight you didn’t always talk about, and kept going through seasons where quitting would have been easier.

That matters.

Sometimes we’re so focused on what still needs to change that we forget to acknowledge how far we’ve already come. We look at the next mountain, the next problem, the next thing we haven’t figured out yet, and we miss the fact that we’re still standing after everything that tried to take us out.

There is nothing wrong with being proud of yourself for that.

Not in an arrogant way. Not in a way that forgets God. But in a way that says, “I made it through. I kept going. I didn’t let that season destroy me.” That kind of recognition is important, because it reminds you that you are stronger than you used to be and that God has been helping you the entire way.

You may not be where you want to be yet, but you are not where you used to be.

That is worth acknowledging.

So today, before you rush into what’s next, pause long enough to honor the progress. Thank God for carrying you, and give yourself credit for not giving up when life got heavy.

🕊 Declaration: I acknowledge how far I’ve come. I am still standing, still growing, and still moving forward.
