Richard Flaherty due to complications at his birth only grew to 4-Foot-9-inches tall 97-Pounds. Coming from a family of military heroes Richard also wanted to do his part and serve his country. People laughed at the idea of a man his size in the military and all the branches turned him down. But that didn't deter Richard he spent years writing letters until he received a medical waiver.

His uniforms didn't fit the equipment was too big and he was required to carry a back pack during long marches that was almost the same weight as he was. No rules were ever changed for Richard.

Richard didn't just make it through basic he became a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne. When he would jump out of planes the instructors would have to strap machine gun parts to his body to help his descent so he wouldn't "float away." He graduated OCS in 1968 as a Lt. and deployed to Vietnam. Within weeks he would lead his platoon in some of the bloodiest battles during the, "Tet Offensive." In that week he was wounded by grenade fragmentation and a grazing bullet but as soon as he was patched up he jumped right back into the battle.

After months of fighting on the front lines many officers would accept assignments in the rear but not Richard. He transferred to Echo Co. to lead a RECON unit which engaged in dangerous search and destroy missions deep into enemy territory. He would receive the Silver Star, 2 Bronze Stars with Valor & 2 Purple Hearts.

If you think that's where Richard's story ends think again. Richard would become an Green Beret with the 3rd SF Group and be promoted to Captain. He served with the 46th Co. in Thailand where some of their clandestine missions sent them "across the fence" fighting Malaysian and Burmese guerrillas.

Even though Richard knew he was qualified for a military burial in Arlington he instead chose to be buried in a small anonymous cemetery in W. Virginia so he could be next to the women he loved.

Statements like Farooq’s are not isolated. They reflect a doctrine of supremacy that rejects permanent equality under American law and culture.

- A Haitian chick who thinks the United States is a “f*cking disgrace,” wants to abolish borders, law enforcement, and prisons.

- A Muslim guy who believes the U.S. deserved 9/11, is funded by the Muslim Brotherhood, and whose wife and father-in-law have terrorist connections.

Texas just added 2.56 million people in five years.
39.8% international migration (mostly from India)
31.8% from other states (many from blue ones)
28.3% natural increase (more births than deaths)

This is not abstract. It is the electorate being rewritten in real time.

Texas was never a permanent 60/40 lock, but the trend toward tighter margins is real. When large numbers of new residents arrive—through migration or citizenship pathways—and vote differently from the existing population, the original electorate is diluted. That is democracy being used to change democracy.

Ignoring it is how solid states become competitive, then blue. The people already here who prefer limited government, energy abundance, and the Texas model have every right to care about the political consequences of rapid demographic change.

Keep winning the newcomers on results. Keep the culture of self-reliance and low taxes strong. Keep Texas conservative.

Pretending numbers don’t matter is how you lose.
