@GMB Newcastle council cut the budget for the lollipop person right outside my children's school. It's a blind corner and hundreds of children cross there every morning and evening. For the last 5 years the community has raised the funds to pay for the lollipop lady.

@BreadSauceGuy @NewcastleCC Could not agree more! The joke of it all is the council funded lollipop person works on a pelican crossing . . . But the blind corner outside the school gates with no crossing other than a small island isn't deserving of their funding 🤦🏼‍♀️

@ArchRose90 I just don't get how they expect to achieve anything when they don't have the support of the general public, they are never going to get that support with the way they are protesting! The aim of their cause is overshadowed by their ridiculous methods of attention seeking

@KirstieMAllsopp 3 C-sections here. Not for lack of wanting to have a natural birth but it wasn't on the cards for me. 2 were emergency sections for fetal distress and 1 was planned for 4 days after due date with a large baby boy in no mood to exit voluntarily.

@RogersHistory Having worked with disengaged children it's clear this woman has no idea of the many complex reasons why more and more children are missing from education! I agree the education minister should be someone with experience in the sector.

@NewcastleCC Hope they do a better job there than the ones on gosforth high street! My 7yr old could have done a better job designing then!
