@EricKolenich According to the “graph” the increase was 8. Why the huge discrepancy?? Maybe because the math is wrong and the numbers aren’t the right ones?
@TwoForFooz@jeremy_d_smith1@EricKolenich Prior to the 24-25 school year the universities received no reimbursement for the waiver. The universities told lawmakers they were ok with some which was what they received starting the fall of 24. Now VCU with $100 Million land deal losses, are saying the waiver is a problem.
@NDMollen@EricKolenich The veteran has to be labeled 90-100% disabled and permanent and totaled (they aren’t getting better) or you are a surviving spouse or dependent (gold star family). Also have to have enlisted in VA or be a resident for more than 5 years (the veteran)
@EricKolenich Again, just two years ago when they received no funding whatsoever for this waiver they said it cost the university $4 million. Now it’s over 20. The program has not grown five times the amount of people in just two years. VCU is padding numbers do your job as a reporter.
