@sabrina_se42494@annaaacha I agree! There needs to be more attention to this, everyone has the right to get an equal opportunity for their education. It is not fair to provide that for them, regardless of race. #ucr150@annaaacha
The failure to provide equitable academic support for African American student-athletes is a systemic issue. Everyone deserves a quality education along with their athletics. Ensuring their academic success should be a top priority for the NCAA. @annaaacha#ucr150
@mmart450@annaaacha You’re right ! They didn’t get enough recognition or even acknowledgement. They need to be at-least fairly compensated for what they do instead of coaches making millions they need to fairly divide that and close those gaps. #ucr150@annaaacha
Balancing athletics and academics is a challenge for student-athletes. The commitment for training & games can lead to difficulties focusing on classroom studies and keeping up with coursework. Student-athletes need more support and the NCAA needs to help them. #ucr150@annaaacha
@tamez180321@annaaacha Hi Amy!
Couldn’t agree more, as students they should still be allowed to have this choice just like any other student can. The NCAA needs to do better, we see how much they continue to control and exploit student-athletes. When will this stop? @annaaacha#ucr150
The NCAA tries to control student-athletes with different kinds of restrictions. Transfer restrictions are unfair and favor the NCAA. Students should be allowed to transfer without penalty and take advantage of opportunities like any other student. @annaaacha#ucr150
@MadisonP78222@annaaacha I agree! I believe implementing and mandating concussion education would be very helpful to student-athletes and coaches. The more they understand the possible outcomes of an untreated concussion can do, the more it will get reported. #ucr150@annaaacha
The NCAA needs to create more restrictions than they already have regarding the return of play from a concussion. Many student-athletes do not understand the
severity of a concussion. They need understand and learn what the consequences are if left untreated.

@aayal100@annaaacha I totally agree! Women athletes put the same amount of work as male athletes. They should be recognized more and should be supported more in funding especially if they take up over 50%.
#ucr150@annaaacha
Even though Title IX is in effect, blaming women's athletics for budget cuts in men's programs is unfair. Budget cuts should be strategic and implemented without targeting one gender over the other.
#ucr150@annaaacha
@ggonz137 @abhornUCRedu I believe that these athletes aren’t even fully aware of their limitations, which is why so many National Letters of Intent get signed every year.
#ucr150@annaaacha
The NCAA needs to create a better system when explaining their scholarships. Jack Thompson said “When I was recruited they told me I would be receiving a full scholarship, I assumed that was meant for the duration of the 4 yrs” How is that fair? #ucr150 https://t.co/hMgZ83nfYC.
@derek_lpz@abhornUCRedu Student-athletes are putting themselves through a lot. The NCAA needs to recognize this and help them by incorporating more resource support to support them, it is the very least that they can do for them. #ucr150@annaaacha
The NCAA should provide student-athletes a health care program that allows them to continue to seek medical care after their college career ends. These injuries could affect them long-term, we should support them better. #ucr150@annaaacha
@BuclingBum17 100% I believe they should be compensated for their contributions, a lot of the time these students-athletes are made to prioritize being an athlete more than anything. They deserve more. @annaaacha#ucr150
Treatment of student-athletes by the NCAA is terrible. While the organization does not allow athletes from profiting off their name (amateurism) this does not translate the demands placed on them. They generate $$$ for these institutions, yet do not see any.
