Super excited to announce the final chapter of my dissertation is out in @SciReports! We used iSSF’s to show that Sierra Nevada bighorn sheep move up and downhill during spring #migration to avoid heat stress and storms.

SORTEE is seeking volunteers, old and new, to help promote open science next year. No experience necessary; there are many types of roles available across 10 different committees. Get your nominations in by 30 October, and please share widely! https://t.co/CVSAC5BFWa
Why are the impacts of #climatechange so variable? Excited to share our new review paper in @GlobalChangeBio which explores the role of local environmental variation in mediating the impacts of extreme marine heatwaves

@gabbspalomo Props to you Gabby, I think this is a great take. I am doing a similar thing and although I get frustrated by the slow pace of progress sometimes I do really value the time spent broadening my horizons
🛰️ A new paper "scikit-eo: A Python package for Remote Sensing Data Analysis" on a tool for #LULC analysis with various machine learning and neural networks algorithms.🛰️

Many thanks to @wild_move_eco, @JustineASmith, and the twitterless Karl Rittger, Logan & Tom Stephenson, and Eric Post for their contributions to the work. Wouldn’t have happened without them! For more, check out this blog post: https://t.co/Ymk2mv65c7
@SciReports Lots of #phenology content to be gleaned as well! Snowfall in the Sierra is super variable from year to year, and this leads to incredible interannual variation in both green-up timing and migration timing.
This is an almost unbelievable story of greed, deception, illegal trade in wildlife that puts an exclamation mark on the critique that trophy hunting is not always conservation . Sometimes its just plain crazy. https://t.co/4PXJ07xTV0
If you're an undergrad at UCSB or know an undergrad at UCSB who might be interested in this program please share :) It's aimed at increasing diversity in SCUBA diving and getting awesome students involved in marine research! @EEMB_DEIW@eembucsb@gsac_ucsb@BrenUCSB
@Shark_eye_sci Reiterating other comments; could be a colleague or PI that recommended you to an editor. Having a website also broadens your reach, and eds look at those. People know your skills! I've learned a ton from opportunities to review and my writing has improved a lot as a result.
