@GMMXX50@IGN Are you living under a rock? Components got more expensive because of ai data centers. If they didn't raise prices they would be selling at a loss.
@1meen1@IGN There is no comparison to steam lock in and iPhone lockin. I can install another store on my machine whenever I want. I can even run games from outside steam on the devices made by steam. This is not the same thing as apples lockin or even googles on android.
@x_VelvetDark_x@IGN He has money so he must be evil. It can't be that he designed and built a good product that millions of people prefer over the trash offered by the competition.
@VoidSignalTech@Pirat_Nation Imagine that. Doing a good job over a long period of time develops loyal customers. Who would have thought?
We need to sue steam and force them to have bad customer service so other companies can compete.
@maxdeploy@Pirat_Nation That's funny last time I heard valve doesn't pay developers to use steam. Unlike some of the actual monopolies like google paying apple to use Google search by default.
@maxdeploy@Pirat_Nation There are bad monopolies and goog monopolies.
A bad monopoly is when there aren't alternatives so the monopoly can do whatever it wants.
It a good monopoly exists when the product is so good no one wants to use the alternatives.
People reject alternatives for the convenience.
@CosmicTechQuirk@AstronomyVibes@NightSkyAura Mars is the goal because interstellar travel is currently completely impossible with no know path the make it work even with theoretical technology.
@NCSUDonaldMoore@AstronomyVibes Most of the details I have seen propose using craters and lavatubes. Domes make good pictures to post on instagram but the plan has always been underground where most of the structure is natural and already exists they just have to create the seal.
@JackHammerLane@Pirat_Nation Violating a contract is illegal. Probably not criminal, but definitely illegal. If the games TOS say don't cheat you are breaking the contract if you cheat so it is illegal to cheat.
If they include in the TOS that they will disable cheat hardware when detected its not illegal
@pygmystrangler@ze_Grump Yep people don't realized that the government in the US has no power to restrict making weapons for yourselves. They can only put restrictions on commercialization of firearms.
@ze_Grump Most crimes are committed with stolen guns so what difference does it make if it is serialized? They still don't know who did the killing. Plus how many times does the killer leave the serialized gun at the scene so that they can track down the owner?
It's baseless fearmongering
@NaviGoBoom You might want to add it is possible in America. In most countries you can't get the additional components needed. And you also can't buy ammo.
You can't buy ammo unless you are an adult in the United States.
@GliddonPeter@CryptoSpaces1@clashreport@grok The Germans developed jet technology separate from the British. Many of Germaniea engineers and scientist ended up in the US after the war. When in comes to military technology most countries do t concern themselves with the legality of how they obtain military technology
@aki_korhonen@clashreport I think at the point where a country would see hacking the software as necessary the least concern is going to be breaking a contract.
@Elex_Michaelson@TomSteyer The way you tax billionaires more is by taxing everyone the same rate and getting rid of all the deductions and exceptions that they use to shield most of their income.
@PeteButtigieg Yes it was so much better under Obama who made health insurance completely unaffordable without government aide. That way when the right removes that government aide you can say how much people needed it.
